Myself and two friends stayed here on a Wednesday night. We was going to see Ghost the musical and booked this hotel as we knew it was nearby. Nice spacious room with 2 double beds, nice easy access through a side door. Only thing was when you came to check in you had to walk through the pub (which is... More

Stayed there for one night on my last night in UK. My experience was terrible. Party on the bar downstairs went on till 4 am. Tiny and not isolated walls do not help with very loud music. The whole room was vibrating with the lower frequencies of the woofer and it was really unbearable and impossible to get some sleep.... More

Typical basic room for 45£ through booking. Large bed was amazingly comfy. Modern clean bathroom and hot water ensuite. Very friendly. Rooms situated above a bar and based at the end of canal Street. Expect noise from pub and nearby until around 2am ish- my visit was on a Wednesday so not as busy as it would be at weekends.... More

Come here often when I'm in Manchester as it is on the bar strip. Always a good atmosphere and good mix of people in the bar. Plays a variety of music from old to new. I have stayed in the rooms above a few years ago, they were alright for the price I paid nothing special. On Halloween it was... More

Haven't been in this bar for many years and was surprised to see how quiet the bar was. Friendly bar staff and very clean. Not sure why, but my friend like to play pool, but she was told that they only give the one cue out?

I stayed here for three nights and I'm going back next week for three nights. I was greeted by a very very helpful buff and handsome manager who got me a nice quiet room and supplied me with an iron and ironing board. The bed was very comfortable with a good shower. Toiletries were supplied in the form of massive... More

We stayed at the New Union on a Friday night, and intended to stay for 4 nights. On Saturday morning I woke up with a terrible allergic reaction to insect bites that the doctor identified as bedbug bites. My whole eyelid was so swollen I couldn't see. What was supposed to be a nice holiday turned into a trip to... More

The worst hotel you can try ever. Doesn't consider a hotel at all. Bad reception with ugly rooms, no entrance you go through a side door, there is a noisy bar that keeps u up all night, Internet and WiFi are way far from average. The only benefit of it that's really near to the city center.
