We stayed at the New Union on a Friday night, and intended to stay for 4 nights. On Saturday morning I woke up with a terrible allergic reaction to insect bites that the doctor identified as bedbug bites. My whole eyelid was so swollen I couldn't see. What was supposed to be a nice holiday turned into a trip to...

The worst hotel you can try ever. Doesn't consider a hotel at all. Bad reception with ugly rooms, no entrance you go through a side door, there is a noisy bar that keeps u up all night, Internet and WiFi are way far from average. The only benefit of it that's really near to the city center.

Nice friendly staff Had trouble with parking that they wasn't prepared to help with. Noisy due to a night club next door. Room was okay Okay location - near shops, food places etc Not sure if would recommend to others or if I'd stay there again

Thus is a bar review not for the hotel. One of the. Oldest gay bars in Manchester with a good size dancefloor next door (must make the accommodation very noisy but if you are staying on Canal Street you don't want peace and quiet!) Lovely, very active, polite staff. Great music the night I was there. It is a shame...

Well i don't know where to start. I stayed in this dump/hotel with 3 friends for a 2 night stay in Manchester. When we arrived we were taken into a grotty reception room by the lady working there called Adele. She couldn't even manage to crack a smile, it just looked like she couldn't be bothered to deal with us....

Dear Stacey I am sorry that you were unhappy with your stay and for the impression formed. I have always received good feedback from guests as you will see from other reviews on here so I was surprised and dismayed. During your stay we were having some building work done which is why the reception room wasn't looking it's best...

This hotel is only suitable for people who are planning a late night out and need somewhere to crash. The noise from the bar/karaoke is so loud it makes the room vibrate and it is like having the music played directly into your room. This continued until 2am. Further disturbance from people coming in around 4am - no soundproofing on...

Really only went for a drink although did see a room which was basic, seemed clean & would do a turn for a cheap night. Lively bar, friendly engaging staff who were up for banter and dealt with more challenging visitors. Security had their work cut out with some silly women, but worked with other neighbouring establishments to restore order....

This hotel is in the gay district with several clubs all around so expect noise into the morning. The room itself is very nice. Beds are comfortable and clean, with plenty of room. TV signal came in poorly at times but it's of decent size. Bathroom door a tad close to toilet but overall it's nice shower, etc. My stay...

The room was clean and comfortable. Our only issue was the noisy bar below. No AC so the windows had to stay open. There was nothing we could do about the noise, so we checked out and went somewhere else. No refund was given. This hotel would be fine for partiers, but not good for families.
