Stayed at the Mitre for a night. It's location is very central and ideal for shopping etc. If your driving expect to pay for parking as the hotel is on pedestrianised area if Manchester. As you walk out of the door it's next to the cathedral so you can't get more central than that. I paid £29 for a single...

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. The staff were reasonably ok. The hotel needs a serious refurb-there's paint chipped off the bannisters. Damp in the rooms, rusted radiators, creaky floors, dirty bathrooms. I got no sleep staying here due to other residents screaming, shouting & vomiting outside my door. Staying here ruined our trip. I would never stay here...

Rooms nothing like the pictures !!! Terrible bathroom uncomfortable bed and instant coffee for breakfast !!! In drastic need of updating certainly not worth the money. The only good thing I can say is good position.

Fantastic value for a twin room, shared bathroom, £29 for the night, excellent location, with everything on the door step, went to watch Billy Elliot at the Palace Theatre, a short walk away, which was truly amazing. Yep, the hotel was a bit tired looking and it is a very old building, but the beds we comfy and clean, the...

After seeing the pictures and reviews of the mitre hotel I was dreading staying over (I made the mistake of not looking before booking)...however it wasn't as bad as people on here slate it....yes it's an old building with some very wonky flooring and I could of been picky about some of the decor and fittings in the room I...

I stayed here in October as part of a backpacking trip through Europe and the U.K., and I have to say, I have stayed in better budget hostels. The room was filthy and nothing like the photos, but as everything had been paid for in advance, I decided to give the place the benefit of the doubt. In the middle...

I stayed one night with family to see a show and celebrate my father's birthday. Well thank goodness everything else in the city was lovely as the hotel was terrible. The downstairs entrance and and stairs stank of toilet cleaner and the bannisters and wood work were very worn and in need of coat of paint. I had to change...

Needed a room for the night in Manchester while stopping over, and the cheap offer I found for the Mitre Hotel lured me in. Location is great - with the Arndale and Printworks next door, however the hotel itself was shameful. As soon as I walked in I regretted it. Wifi was complimentary which was a bonus but that didn't...

The only benefit of this Hotel is the location. It is in the centre of Manchester. That is it though. Located above a busy pub and nightclub makes it very noisy. The rooms are filthy and grubby. The fixture and fittings are cheap and most are broken. We stayed in the executive room, absolutely terrible. The cheap electric shower only...

I will start off with a positive... the location is great. Apart from that this hotel was an absolute rip off! £100 we paid and we had no bathroom, just a scabby shared facility outside the room with scruffy sign on the door. This was never made aware to us at the time of booking which really irritated me, wouldn't...
