Following a one night stay in this run down backstreet hotel I received contact from my bank informing me of suspicious activity on my account. I did read the warning about paying with a card from a previous guest but I went ahead anyway.....big mistake. It would appear that they have a way of cloning your card and will use...

I was one day late trying to cancel a room due to it being a bank holiday. Tried to cancel the room over the phone first thing the day after and was advised that I would have still been able to cancel the room on a bank holiday via booking.com. Bear in mind that this is 5 days before the...

We have just returned from a stay in the merchant hotel, after reading other reviews I was expecting the worst but I really don't know what people expect for the money, it's basic but was clean and the bed was really comfortable and as for being down a seedy alley way it's just off the main road , perfectly situated...

This doesn't even deserve one star but you can't give any lower. Was booked into this via third party and OMG it was the worst place ever. Entrance is down an alleyway. Then once inside you climb a large flight of stairs to reach reception. We wanted to upgrade our room so we didn't have to share bathroom with everyone else....

I made the mistake of booking this doss house without reading any reviews. Checked in yesterday in a twin room. windows were open when i entered. Blinds in bathroom were not working correctly. Could have been a privacy issue . Things got interesting dure in the night when the bed collapsed on me. Had a knock on door at 11.10...

Firstly it is not an Hotel, so don't get confused by the name: It is a hovel. Toilet is to share, basic furniture, 2£ for towels, Tv does not work. Unprofessional and Violent manners from Receptionists. I have been shout, intimidated and kicked out of the building because I was trying to get more information on why nobody at the...

This place is a hovel, windows don't close properly, heating doesn't work, electrical sockets broken, bed mites in the bed. I asked for a refund after 30 minutes in my room and was told an emphatic no. The male receptionist then asked his handy man to throw me out after insulting my wife and threatening me. We left £62 worse...

This is not a hotel, it's a hostel. And an awful one at that. Towels not provided, available to hire at £2 each, but reception didn't open until 9am so I had to use paper towels to get dried on. No heating so room was freezing cold. The bed was a cheap kids' bed and collapsed whilst I was just...

Easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, I guess I should have worried about this one when I saw the door in a dark alley that looked like murderer's row. On entrance to the hotel I saw the guy behind the counter getting a dressing down about fire safety which didn't put my mind at rest. After some confusion...

Despite reading all the horrible reviews on this place I have to disagree. I paid £22 for a double room, what do you expect?! Room was comfortable and clean, all the basics things you need for a few nights stay. Reception staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to give extra help. As for these people complaining...
