What a great little place. Was a fairly last minute booking, but whole process was made so easy by the team. On arrival we were given a bottle wine and a muffin each for booking directly with hotel. 5 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, in the heart of Canal Street. Our room faced onto the street which was...

Stayed here while on one of our casino nights in the city. Friendly, funky, clean, peaceful (though it was midweek and we didn't get back in 'til 4am) Had a lovely stay, staff relaxed and happy people to be around, still awake when we stumbled in even ! Faultless and thoroughly recommended :-)

The hotel is located beside the Rochdale Canal about 10 minutes on foot from Piccadilly Station. It is in the heart of the gay quarter but we felt no sense whatsoever that the hotel prefers gay clientele. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were always very helpful. No dining is offered at the hotel but the staff recommended...

Room was very dusty and did not feel very clean. The bathroom door did not close unless slammed and had a large hole in the wall that was filled with rubble. By far the worst part was the extremely bright light right outside the window which was not blocked out at all by the thin curtains.

Nice small hotel, very close to the center of Manchester, pleasant and helpful staff, nice clean rooms, and good value for money. On a business trip or holiday, solo or with your partner or friend, this is a good place to stay if you want to be in the center of the city.

Reading some of the reviews on here I think you're being unreasonably fussy for the value and location of the hotel. Considering this is three stars and in the heart of the gay bars and clubs, I thought it was excellent value for money and had an absolutely wicked time. If you want a fun weekend with your partner or...

Beautiful room, Canal st side but not affected by noise at all (on a Friday night!) We walked down to Deansgate for food then stopped for cocktails on the way back :-) Really impressed as we were handed a bottle of wine and some muffins on arrival! Winner. All round great stay and value for money and the staff were...

I spent a Saturday night here with a friend, with no idea the hotel was in the heart of the gay district, and would definitely stay here again. Pleasant room, decent price, entertainment on our doorstep (drag queens, glitter, balloons, disco music...) and the staff were uber friendly - informing us where we could go for breakfast the next day...

Well we arrived with 2 other couples that had paid an extra £10 per room for a canal view, we hadn't realised that you could do this so our room was on the upper floor at the far end looking out at the back of the hotel. The room was hot and stuffy with secondary double glazing and the Windows...

possibly the noisiest hotel I have ever experienced! I know the location very well, in fact I used to live very close by, so I expected a little noise from the street. The rooms are described as 'soundproof', so I thought it would be OK. In fact, they are not at all. in addition to the noise from the street...
