With a stunning bedroom spread over two floors and a customer service aspect that truly makes you feel special, I was beyond impressed. If you want marble floors and ridiculous over the top opulence that is common amongst hi star established brands go elsewhere. However, if you want something unique, that is as much it's own character as it is...

we didnt stay at this hotel but were here for a wedding. The venue was on the roof top which was really nice. We had a drink in the bar downstairs before going to the wedding and the afternoon tea looked really scrumptious. The bbq buffet at the wedding was really good but my husband who is a coeliac didnt...

Dear Trip Advisor Member, I am so glad you enjoyed the recent wedding that you attended at the Hotel and that you liked the Roof Top Facility! It is nice to hear that the BBQ food was really good but that the choice of items for your husband who requires a Gluten Free diet was limited and I will discuss...

I was not too sure what it would be like as it was very underwhelming from the outside with a small reception, however once you get into the building everything else is very spacious. The rooms are very big , quirky and luxurious. The roof top is gorgeous unfortunately there was a wedding on so this limits the guests somewhat...

There really is something very special about this hotel. Just enjoyed my fifth stay there and the service was amazing as usual. I love the quirky touch to the rooms and having a jacuzzi on the rooftop Sunday morning was amazing!

This is a very attractive boutique hotel set in an old school so they have made the most of the old school references and it makes for an interesting building and rooms. Mine had a stairs to a mezzanine floor where a free standing bath, shower and toilet are. Quirky and interesting for a leisure visit, The room also have...

Originally an old school this Hotel has some great features, the big windows in the room and original features are a bit "quirky" however, on entering our room we found that the air conditioning had been left on and the room was cold, after trying for several minutes and after reading the instructions we were unable to warm the room,...

Dear johnsamui, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience of Great John Street Hotel. I was very pleased to read that you liked that a number of the original features of the building had been kept whilst the building was redesigned as a hotel, however was disappointed that you found the original floorboards to be noisy during...

We had afternoon tea for a work function, hiring the roof terrace and adjoining dining room. The sandwiches were traditionally English (cucumber for example) and the cakes tasted as good as they looked (naughty but nice!). Rather than tea we had prosecco which watered it all down very well!

Fantastic hotel, rooms.food and staff. Handy for Manchester's busy city centre and restaurants right beside coronation street set The building was originally an old school school house and has retained many of these qualities Afternoon tea is a must having the choice of ladies or gentlemen's options

Booked in for afternoon tea for myself and my sister for her birthday. I'd heard about the hotel below and was intrigued to visit. The afternoon tea (we opted for the champagne one!) was absolutely delicious and the room we were in was delightful! Unfortunately we couldn't view the recommended roof terrace as there was a wedding on - so...

We stayed here for one night for my husband's 40th birthday. We both work in Manchester so finished work and checked-in. The lady on the check-in desk was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was gorgeous, on two levels with the living / dressing room downstairs and then the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The bedroom had a huge king bed...
