Very clean and comfortable. We stayed here as we had tickets for the Manchester Academy. Parking is on the road but there is plenty of space. Huge variety of restaurants and fast food just a few minutes walk away. The Manchester Academy is just a short 10 minute walk up the road. Very friendly owners and a very nice breakfast!... More

This small B&B near the University of Manchester campus, the Whitworth Park and Art Gallery, and the "Curry Mile" was clean on the inside though dirty with rubbish about at the entrance way. The rooms were small but they were tidy and the shower worked well. The Muslim couple who were the hosts were very friendly and accommodating and served... More

The rooms are adequate. The en-suite bathroom was exceedingly tiny, built into the corner of the room. The room is comfortable enough, and they have done a few things to make the place look modern. Is an old building done up. Is clean and tide. The owner is very friendly, but his staff on the first morning of my stay... More

As per title this is a simple, unpretentious and clean B&B with really friendly staff and a tasty vegetarian breakfast. Top of the priorities for me is cleanliness as so many places get this so so wrong: not so the Verdene. Yes, OK, some of the fittings/décor is a little tired but for the money I don't think you can't... More

Came for the stone roses concert that was at the Etihad stadium and this was he cheapest room we could find at £30. It had everything we needed - bed and a shower, rooms were lovely and we kept. Owners were really nice and let us keep our car in a private car park round the back so it was... More

This is a small B&B convenient for the Universities and opposite a park. My room was clean and comfortable, though not luxurious. The shower was excellent - a real power shower, one of the best of any hotels I have stayed in! There is free wi-fi, which was god enough to stream a film on my computer. Breakfast was fine... More

I was dubious about our stay when my husband said all of Manchester was booked up and he'd booked us into a bed and breakfast. Although near the university/student area, the Hotel is situated opposite a large park, on a busy road, but there was space to park. The interior is dated but clean, and we were greeted on arrival... I had one night at this B&B. I arrived mid evening and the owner could not be more accommodating. He offered to make me something to eat, but I refused as I felt I had already put him out, but he kindly pointed me in the direction of where I could purchase some food. He also allowed me to bring... More
