The person in charge of La Villa was most welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and spacious and very well appointed. The decor was elegant and tasteful. Not far out of Bayonne in a quiet situation. We stayed on a very cold winter's night but I can imagine that it would be lovely in the summer with...

This is my second stay here - on my regular trip between Southern Spain and Cherbourg. I will be back. The hotel is relatively close to the motorway - while at the same time being in a quiet area. Spacious and well - and recently- decorated rooms with a bit of style. Very welcoming and helpful staff. I asked for...

I booked a Comfort Double Room, excl breakfast for 3 nights over the internet. Arriving at Gare Bayonne, we got a taxi to La Villa. The cost was €11:50. For the return to the train station ( and the bus station next door), we walked and it took about 35 minutes bag drag and we were sitting in the bar....

While heading towards or arriving in Santander or Bilbao we often have our first or last night in France at La Villa. Not cheap but safe parking and a peaceful sleep in a beautiful hotel with stunning views after a long drive are worth it. I have walked down into the town from the hotel but it may be a...

We had a lovely 3 night stay in the hotel. It is a small hotel, situated in a residential area not far from the centre. Having read the other reviews I wasn't totally sure what to expect but I think the breakfast, although 10 euros sounds steep, was actually very good. It was a buffet, you could eat as much...

The warm welcome, the lovely bedroom which was both modern and typical and the location all made this a perfect stay. It is a small distance from the town centre but worth every metre and the owner was very helpful in directing us to restaurants.

We arrived far too early but the owner was very kind and allowed us in to freshen up and leave our baggage. We had been slightly misled by it being described as a hotel and were a bit surprised to realise it was really a B&B. We went into Bayonne and found a lovely restaurant in which to have dinner...

The lovely lady on reception could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Our "comfort room" on the top floor was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with air conditioning / heating, a comfortable king size bed and a great shower. Yes, the hotel is a little way out of town but it is in a quiet location and a taxi...

The Hotel la Villa provided a very comfortable stay with large room, quality furnishings and a sitting area. Excellent bathroom. The villa itself did not have a lounge for guests but we were able to make use of the terrace. Had dinner at the villa on the terrace and the food was very basic. Breakfast was continental fare and included...

Although the approach cul de sac was very scruffy, the house & grounds were pretty & our room characterful & comfortable. However, the shower floor was grubby & two tiles were loose & sharp. There was no on-site restaurant & the riverfront eateries are 20-25 minutes walk down & 30-35 minutes uphill back. Breakfast was a disappointing allocation of minimal...
