Beautifully converted old building with 3 private en suite bedrooms. Ours had an industrial feel but with a very comfortable bed, fresh clean linens, modern bathroom and shower & space! Right in the middle of busy Bordeaux but with private parking and even an outside terrace. Breakfast served by the lovely host (who speaks perfect English), was best we had...

Hard to find. Directions could be better (many narrow one way streets). Our room (the one with the typewriter) was very cold and austere. If you are into concrete and steel, this is the place for you. A few scatter rugs would not go amiss. The toiletries were very nice (L'Occitane) Also, breakfast was austere and one of the most...

Excellent bed and breakfast located in the stunning city of Bordeaux, I was put off slightly by the street map view of the hotels location, (yes I research quite a bit before choosing a place to stay!) no need however L'Esprit is set in a quiet area of Bordeaux offering secure enclosed garage parking, stunning accommodation, simple yet splendid breakfasts...

What a great find in the bohemian Chartrons- only a 20 min walk from the centre of Bordeaux and with a tram stop at the end of the road. There is parking within the establishment. Bridgitte, the owner was really helpful and flexible on arrival times and provided a lovely & diverse selection for breakfast each morning. The rooms are...

This is a tiny B&B with three rooms. It's beautifully done - very tasteful and understated. Sizeable room with a tiny terrace. Decent bathroom area with polished concrete surfaces. Large comfy bed. Tad dark possibly but that didn't bother us. Very quiet. Brigitte, the owner, makes breakfast - traditional French fare - good quality and presented very well. We stayed...

We have just come back from a really enjoyable weekend in Bordeaux. Brigitte the owner, of L'Esprit de Chartrons, (Bed and Breakfast) was very helpful and friendly, Brigette helped us rent public bicycles, (word of warning we were advised at the information centre in Bordeaux that these bicycles were only 1.50 per day, however it was 1.50 per hour!) Silly...

We had a great stay for 2 nights at L'Esprit des Chartrons in the Dune room. It is well-located in a quaint shopping district / trendy area, very close to the tram and the water - about 15 min walk into the old part of the city. The rooms are clean and well-appointed with small outdoor space for each and...

We have just come back from a really enjoyable weekend in Bordeaux. Brigitte the owner, of L'Esprit de Chartrons, (Bed and Breakfast) is warm and friendly. An excellent place to stay for a weekend, stop over in Bordeaux. You are 2 minutes walk from the banks of the Garonne River, dotted with lots of waterfront Cafe's and Bars. You can...

Very welcoming place just behind the quai des Chartrons with a warm welcome from the host - makes l'esprit des Chartrons a great place for a stay in Bordeaux. We would not hesitate to go back there! We liked a lot having breakfast (every day a bit different) on the terrace in the inner courtyard. The room was charming and...
