Detailed Reviews
I thought this would be a little hotel above the eponymous restaurant, but apparently they own several nearby apartments in the Chartrons district. This is really an Airbnb: you email the manager with your arrival time, and there is a code for the door and a lockbox for the room key. We had a good-sized, well-furnished room, and bathroom was fine.
Only (minor) downside was limited, rather impractical, storage space and a suboptimal ‘continental breakfast’ consisting of self-made coffee, bottle of orange juice, and small, commercial, cellophane wrapped cakes. There is, however, a delicious bakery next door.

We booked in for three nights in Sanchez on the first floor overlooking the impressive Eglise Saint Louis in the lovely Chartrons district. Our room was quiet, spacious, beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. Some smells from the excellent bakery below waft up in the morning but this was not a problem. The apartments are a short walk from the river front, and the Jardin Public, and are well served by tram stops, a short distance away, which we travelled on regularly using our good value Bordeaux City Passes. The Chartrons neighbourhood has a village-like feel to it with a good range of cafes and restaurants close by including the excellent Chez Dupont bistro itself. Booking ahead seems most essential, and indeed we did several months in advance. Overall we had an excellent stay. Thoroughly recommended.

What a smart decision to stay here the night before boarding the river cruise ship in Bordeaux— less than a 10 min walk to the docked ship. The room (Seignouret) was roomy and very comfortable; great shower and quality hair dryer are important benchmarks for me. Although breakfast foods are available in the room, I walked just a few yards to a wonderful bakery for a fresh French breakfast and a chance to view Bordeaux local activity in the early morning. I could heap more praise but space doesn’t allow. Margot is the BEST host.
Helpful note: The driver booked by Une Chambre from the airport can only contact you by phone at the arrivals gate — they do not come inside or meet you outside with a name sign. So be certain you can receive phone calls upon arrival (I had a new Orange SIM card but did not send Margot my French number when I installed it that morning). I wasted an hour of the driver’s time because of this. It was easy to grab a taxi though.

We really enjoyed our stay here. After a long flight from the US west coast we lugged our suitcases up the steep winding stairs to our room. Margot had provided excellent instructions to enter the building and to retrieve our room key. It was perfect to enjoy a delicious dinner right outside the hotel. We then dragged our jet lagged bodies up to the room for a marvelous sleep. When we awoke, we opened the windows and smelled the fuel burning from the bakery next door. We enjoyed two lovely breakfasts there. We took a local tour to several wine chateaus and fished the Citie du vin. We booked this tour before a cruise. We were pleasantly surprised to find our ship docked 2 blocks from the hotel.
There was a problem with the booking service double selling our room one night, but Margot handled things perfectly. She advised that since we were already staying there, we got to stay. Although we never actually met anyone from the hotel, our stay was just what we wanted.

My room (Sanchez) was gorgeous -- with three sets of french doors that opened onto a balcony full of star jasmine and a view of the square/church across the street. The location is wonderful, on a quiet street, but very close to lots of shops and restaurants. And the woman running things (wish I had gotten her name) was lovely and so helpful. The only caveat is there is no lift, so not for those who are challenged by winding stairs. Highly recommended, in fact, I can't wait to return.

After you get over the initial shock of the very steep 2 flights of stairs this place is a gem. It is nicely decorated and has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the appartment very spacious. Great location with bakery below and near by restaurants that are not too touristy. The smell of the bread in the morning was heavenly. The little balcony was great for drinks and for having breakfast on.
One word of warning if you use a site not direct with the accommodation you could end up like us with no instructions to get in as their emails never made it to us. My only compaint would be that instead of apologising when I rang for help I was told the emails had been sent and I didnt read them. They did not arrive and have similar problems in the past. It all worked out fabulously in the end but was not a great start.

Beautiful Hotel. Had a room on the top floor with ceiling windows looking into the spires of the local church. Great location, super clean. awesome bed bed and Margo was a great host. Located on a street with several cafes and easy access to Tram system. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location and a beautiful room, in the heart of the old town. The host was incredible and responded immediately to any questions we had, which were many! We loved Bordeaux and will definitely return to Une Chambre when we next visit.

Beautiful superior room in an elegant neighborhood... shame about the cleanliness and management. I found an animal in the bathroom similar to a cockroach. I sent the photo and they told me they couldn't change my room and that it's 'nature' and they couldn't do anything about it. Sin. They ruined a little gem

Perfect from booking to departure! Margot is very welcoming and her little advice is always wise! The placid room takes us on a journey with its pretty decoration and is very zen! Quiet neighborhood, very appreciable, a few minutes from the center by tram or on foot! Very well placed! We will come back during our next stops in Bordeaux!

Not sure how early tram rides start, but the tram stop is less than 5 minutes walking from the room and maybe it takes about 20 minutes tram ride to the train station. It also depends on how frequent the tram comes that early in the morning. I am sure if you check the tram website you can have a better idea. Good luck!
It is not An open bathroom and there is no receptiondesk. They give you a code to open the front door and a code to open the box to get your key. So i'm afraid that no one can help you with your luggage
