Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Boutique in its quality and service. Staff very friendly and helpful. High quality decor, bedding and rooms and a fantastic breakfast with hot and cold food. Really is like a home from home with all mod cons. Location is great for getting around Bordeaux - 10 min walk from trams or 25 min walk to the centre. 5 mins from the Jardin de Public.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Maison La Course a week ago - a stylish and comfortable "home from home" in a quiet location near the beautiful Garden Public. Our room, Oyat, with its private terrace overlooking the courtyard garden; large bathroom with rain shower and very welcome air conditioning was a sanctuary each day after exploring the city.
The ladies who run the B & B are charming and welcoming - always interested in how their guests will spend their days and so helpful with recommendations and bookings: Thank you so much Lucie, Clothilde, Colleen and Leia - and their breakfasts are wonderful.
We were truly sorry to have to leave.

This is special place. Everything is well thought out. The stying is superb but also cosy and welcoming.
The staff made you feel at home and nothing was too much trouble.

We spent three nights in this wonderful gem of a house in Bordeaux. The rooms are not large but are exceptionally well appointed and tastefully decorated. The house provides lots of lovely common areas to sit and drink wine or coffee, and since there are only five rooms it feels very private and personal.
The breakfast is top notch and offers a wide variety of options which is relatively uncommon in France. There are coffee, wine and cake by self-serve all day and night. My husband also made very good use of the downstairs steam room. The basement gym is tiny so we didn’t bother with it but it would work in a pinch.
The real stars of La Course however are the completely remarkable, charming, gracious and endlessly helpful young staff who run the place. They all seem to love their jobs, to enjoy meeting and talking to guests and they appear to multitask at an exceptionally high level … calling cabs and sorting Covid tests and arranging restaurants, but also making breakfast and carrying heavy suitcases up several flights of stairs and literally rushing to carry bicycles in and out of the building. Delightful, refreshing and adding an upbeat ambiance of optimism, cheeriness and youth to every aspect of the property.
We also loved the gorgeous and totally comfortable vintage bikes! This is the best way to see Bordeaux! We took them out every day and rode them to dinner or whatever we were doing.
This is a marvellous place to stay in Bordeaux and we will be looking for their other boutique hotels when we travel to other destinations in Europe.

My wife and I stayed for just one night and found the hotel and its staff to be both lovely. That said, there were a few issues in our room (Lasaia): the USB chargers didn't work so we couldn't charge phones, the bath plug didn't work so we couldn't have a bath without having to leave the tap on and, most importantly, the air conditioning didn't work during the night when it was >30 degree heat, leaving us to an uncomfortable "sleep".
When we flagged all this to management their response was that we should pay to stay again but they would give us an upgrade. When I said that we wouldn't be in Bordeaux for the foreseeable future and that a solution whereby we had to spend more money was hardly appropriate, their response was that they couldn't offer a refund to myself nor to Mr. and Mrs. Smith (who we booked via). Certainly made us feel like this was a hotel that isn't accountable for its shortcomings, leaving a sour taste in the mouth

Dear Mr Gbyrd7, We thank you for your kind words about the team and the guetshouse. Once again we apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during the night. Unfortunately the air conditionning stopped working during the night but was working during the day as you recognized it, this technical issue was beyond our control and we regret it happended at a time we could not help you immediatly with it. Regarding the USB port, as we explained upon check out and by email afterwards, we weren’t aware that it was not workingt and we are sorry you got in trouble because of it. We would have been more than happy to help you charge your phones at the reception or give you a French plug to charge your phone on the other plugs of the room. As already discussed the plug of the bath was not in the correct position which caused a leak, this is the reason why the bath could unfortunately not fill. Your booking was made through a third part and unfortunately we are not able to act on this kind of booking. You paid to the third party and they paid us afterwards this is the reason why a refund was not possible and that is why we offered a free upgrade in our best suite available on a next booking. Since a refund was not possible we offered you all your extras and products from our boutique. Again, this is not the kind of service we are used to provide and we are sincerly sorry that you had those troubles tarnishing your experience at La Course. Your disappointment is fair and this is not the feeling that our guests are usually leaving with. Kind regards Coline, Clothilde, Léa and Lucie

La Course is hands-down the best place to stay in Bordeaux, maybe even France. This was our second stay here and we loved every minute of it. We actually opted to stay in most days simply because it was so relaxing and inviting (and it was cold outside).
The staff at La Course is always exceptional - easy to talk to, accommodating, and very friendly. We will always have a place in our hearts for Bordeaux and for La Course. We look forward to returning soon!

My son and I were very happy with La Course.
This boutique hotel (or guesthouse) is extremely beautiful. It makes you feel staying at home with living room, lounge and kitchen area.
I booked a room with a king bed and a bunk bed which is very suitable for a family with up to 2 kids. The room fit outs are superb. The room size is very generous, I can open three standard luggage up and still have space to walk around. There are vintage furniture and decorations to admire. The bedding thread count match that of many-star hotels. Complimentary local Bordeaux sparking and still bottles of water in your room. Thank you Lucy. You hospitality is much appreciated. I look forward to coming back!

This is actually a Bed and Breakfast accommodation, not a hotel and located in a quiet area. There are steps into the 'hotel' so it is not wheelchair friendly. The tram is about 5-7 minutes walk and further down there is boulangerie and a delicious burger place. Otherwise, there is nothing in this area.
Pros
The staffs, Lucy and Clothilde are ever so friendly and helpful, giving us tips on where to go, hotel recommendations and calling taxis for us.
Breakfast each morning is a delight. Besides the usual bread/croissants, there are also fruits and eggs (anyway you choose) and bacon and ham.
Bicycles are also available if you want to cycle to the river, which we did one morning.
Cons
Our room is cosy and the bathroom is huge but the lighting could be brighter.
If coffee and tea can be provided in the room rather than asking guests to go to the kitchen to help themselves, this would have earned another star. Especially in winter, it is troublesome to get downstairs if all you you want is a hot drink either before bed or early in the morning.
Nonetheless, we enjoyed staying in this place, thanks to the two ladies and the gentleman who cooked our wonderful breakfast.

Dear Guest, We thank you for your detailed review following your stay at La Course. Our guesthouse is in the quiet part of the beautiful Chartrons neighbourhood but only 5 minutes walk you can find the lively rue Notre Dame and Place du Marché des Chartrons, offering a peacefull experience while staying in the heart of the city. The tram which is also only a few minutes walk down the street can take you in the very historic center in only 10 minutes. It is such a pleasure to read that you enjoyed the welcome and the service during your stay, we love making everything to help you make the most of your stay in Bordeaux. Your kind words about the breakfast are really fulfilling, we are glad you enjoyed the experience. We thank you for your comment about the light and will make the best decision to act on it. The spirit of our guesthouse is to offer you an out of time experience and make you feel at home, that is why we have complimentary tea and coffee in the kitchen encouraging the guests to make the most of the house and of the living rooms with the firepalce. It was a pleasure welcoming you in Maison La Course and we would be glad to welcome you again next time you come visit Bordeaux. Kind regards La Course's Team.

We stayed just the 1 night at La Course (staying in La Pinada) and couldn’t have loved it any more - the second we stepped through the door we were blown away, it such a beautifully hotel, so perfectly decorated. Lucie gave us the most personal, passionate and helpful check in experience and even recommended a wonderful lunch spot nearby. I don’t know if I have ever stayed anywhere like La Course before, it sort of feels more like a your own very grand house given you can help yourself to wine, charcuterie, coffee, freshly baked cakes. The wine machine was amazing, such a good idea. We loved La Pinada as it has its own private terrace which we had our breakfast brought up to. We wished we had more time at the hotel and will absolutely be staying here next time we’re in Bordeaux - just perfect!

All the rooms are really unique with different themes. The staff is very friendly and the breakfasts they make you are delightful. It was our first time staying there, but we'd definitely stay again the next time we're in Bordeaux... or at one of their other properties. They also have bikes that you can rent to explore the city. Seriously a memorable hotel!

Hi - hope I am not too late in responding as living in the South West France internet is not always reliable.... We parked on the street infront of the guesthouse or around the corner. If you arrive after 10h00 in morning or before 17h00 when the locals return it is not too difficult.
