Arrived on a Thursday afternoon and was weary after a 2 hour + flight delay. On arrival I wanted to relax with a cup of tea, but at 13 euros I I never bothered again. My first disappointment was no tea/coffee facilities in the room, room 1. Being an early riser I could hardly ask for tea at 6-30am. No... More

If you like traditional French establishments then this will be fine for you. The hotel is a great stopover location and the rooms are a little dated but fine. The pool area is clean and tidy but just needs a little bit of care and attention. The restaurant is the epitome of a traditional French establishment and the menu is... More

La Flambee is just outside Bergerac and has nice grounds and a pool during the summer. The restaurant was very nice for breakfast and lunch. There is no choice at breakfasts however, so only eat here if you are fine with continental and lots of bread and pastries. The room let it down unfortunately, ours was incredibly small and the... Stayed overnight after a long drive. Wish I had booked for longer. The food and service were excellent. All the produce is home grown and the fish fresh from the west coast. A lovely relaxing stay. The air conditioned room was so welcome, very clean and well appointed. All the staff were helpful and very knowledgeable when it came to... More

I stayed with my daughter as part of a cycling tour. The location was on the outskirts of town, which suits those that have transport. Otherwise, it may not be central enough for some wishing to be in centre of town. As we rode into the long driveway, we realised that the hotel is a beautiful animal sanctuary in part.... More

I booked as it was about right for an overnight stay traveling from Tours to Bielsa in Spain. Arrived at La Flambee about 6 o'clock very tired, to a charming and friendly reception. The room was excellent and very quiet, perfect for the sleep we needed before continuing our journey. The hotel gardens are absolutely gorgeous, with various animals wandering... More

The restaurant has an excellent cost/benefit ratio! We had a delicious dinner with high quality food and we just payed 20 euros per person (with a delicious lemon pie shared)! The ambience is also pleasant, charming and surrounded by nature. We had a very good time there!

We arrived in Bergerac and rather than begin a long car journey we opted to stay a night just outside the pretty town. The hotel staff were very welcoming and as both the receptionist and I were not fluent in the other's language we used hand gestures and much smiling to get us by. The building and surrounding area are... More

This is the first place we ate in once we arrived in Bergerac. We had been on the go since 4.40am and skipped breakfast so after a short walk from our b&b we arrived at La Flambee. our hostess recommended it for a delicious traditional French lunch and we were very impressed. On arrival at the converted farmhouse you will... More
