We rented an apartment at Nun Obeki for two weeks this winter. The apartment was perfect, in a quiet residential area and a short walk down the hill to the center of St. Jean de Luz. The apartment had everything we needed. Our hostess Kathy was terrific! Kind and helpful, she even took care of our laundry! We will always... More

The best thing about this bed and breakfast is it's hosts, Cathy (excellent English which was great considering our bad French!) and Herve! We booked on the late side for August so we got the last remaining room, which was quite small and, as previous reviewers have noted, it was a little on the tired side. There are no views... More

We really enjoyed our short stay here. Nun Obeki is ideally situated, close to the town centre and all the beaches and really easy to get to from the main road, but it was still quiet. The hosts are really welcoming and informative and are really interested in ensuring your stay with them is as enjoyable as possible. The only... More

We spent three nights at Nun Obeki. It is on the edge of the town but only a 10 - 15 min walk to the beach or the centre. Our room was large and comfortable, the ensuite too was large but could do with modernising. Breakfast was included and was very good, offering, yoghurt, egg, ham, cheese, bread, jams and home... A charming guesthouse, with comfortable rooms and self-catering apartments, off-street parking and free wifi. The owners are friendly and eager to share local information to enhance your visit. Breakfast is simple but adequate. The guesthouse is situated in a calm location in an impasse just off the main road, a little way north of the town centre, and not far... More

Thank you for your nice comment. And we are delighted to have been somewhat contributors wellbeing during that stay with us for our advice and recommendations. I was on my way to starting the Camino de Santiago in St. Jean Pied de Port when I stopped at St. Jean de Luz to enjoy the maritime and cultural history of the region. I stayed with my hosts, Cathy and Herve, for two days. They provided information on restaurants, beaches and footpaths. The room I had was quiet... More

St Jean de Luz is a lovely resort, it has a fabulous beach, great range of shops, restaurants and bars. We found many places don't speak any English but a basic grasp of Spanish/French will see you through. We only stayed for two nights, it was not long enough, there is so much to see and do in the area.... More

St Jean de Luz is a wonderful place, lovely beach, thriving town, great restaurant choice and a great base to tour the area. We chose this hotel based on previous reviews and were very happy with selection. The rooms are large and clean ( just wish for some better bed linen ). The hosts are very charming and breakfast is... More

Cathy was very helpful, including picking us up and returning us to our train/bus station, keeping our food under refrigeration, even warming our "leftovers" which we enjoyed on the front terrace. The breakfast room was conducive to good conversation with Cathy, Herve and other guests. Very gracious hosts.
