Within the city walls and on a cobbled street a small hotel which has been tastefully modernised and decorated in pastel shades. The large double bed was extremely comfortable and the room was spacious, double glazed and airconditioned so that even in peak season it would be quiet for sleeping. There is no parking but there are reasonably priced car...

Overall, very nice hotel. Great location within the walled city. Very quaint. Small rooms... even for France. We were in France for two weeks and had a hard time getting around in the room avoiding our suitcases. Bed was not very comfortable. Bathroom was adequate. Parking is outside the walled city and costs about 7 Euros a day (very reasonable)....

We spent three wonderful nights in St Malo at this very pleasant hotel. St Malo is a fantastic place and this hotel is right in the middle in a great position for seeing the sights, shopping and eating. We had a lovely corner room on the fifth floor with a little balcony - even had one of those huge seagulls...

We were both pleasantly suprised by this hotel. It is central to everything you need in the old town and having your own balcony in the room is a great way to look over parts of the street life and many lovely eateries. The service of the guy on reception was wonderful and so friendly (in fact there wasn't anyone...

My wife and I stopped here on a trip through France, the walled city of Saint Malo is terrific and worth a detour along the coast if you are travelling through France. The hotel was clean and modern and the concierge gave us some excellent advice on where to eat. It takes mere minutes to walk from one side of...

Excellent location as we did not take the car. Shops, bars, resturants, the beach, walks everything is there on the doorstep. The hotel was modern and the room was comfortable, clean and attractive, in my opinion this was more important than the size of the room. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good too.

Located in the heart of the old town in Saint Malo, the Hotel Cartier is a good place to stay when visiting this area. The hotel has a modern décor with comfortable beds and air conditioned rooms which are relatively spacious in comparison to other hotels in France. Across the road from the hotel is a little bistro called ‘Le...

I travelled with my mother on a Brittany Ferry 'Stroller' break and chose this hotel because of the good reviews I had seen of it. The hotel certainly lived up to the reviews and was easy to find. Although we arrived at 9:30 having travelled on the overnight ferry we were able to go straight up to our small but...

I am very glad that most other reviews for this hotel are very positive because we could not fault it, providing you accept that a 3 star hotel in an ancient walled city will be very compact. The interior of the hotel appears to have been recently totally rebuilt and is very modern and clean with new furnishings, large en-suite...

Great location just inside the walls in the old town, close to all restaurants (but which hotel inside the walls isn't??). Nice clean room, but VERY small for two people with two medium-sized suitcases. The hotel is situated on the main shopping street so like other reviewers have said, it can get quite noisy with musicians performing on the street...
