Only two budget-priced B&B rooms in a nice residential neighborhood very close to town and tourist attractions. The shower is a little hard to figure out, but once we managed, it was perfect. (Toilet is separate.) The free parking is just a couple of blocks away, but a map indicating the location would have been helpful. Nonetheless, we found it... More

The ONLY shortcoming with Rosie's place is having to park down the street at a public lot (no charge) and having to unload and load your bags, etc at the sidewalk. But those are quickly overlooked with all the clean, friendly "at home" surroundings which become your home in Amboise during the stay. The compact dwelling is on a main... More

We made this BnB a base for seeing the chateau region of France. I loved Amboise, such a beautiful French town. We were greeted by Rosie on arrival and shown to the top bedroom. The room was generally spacious and the two single beds were top quality - extremely comfortable to sleep in. Thanks Rosie for catering to us by... More

This is a 2 bedroom B&B in a nice little house within walking distance of the chateau. There is a large, not to well manicured yard behind the house with lawnchairs, tables, etc. for the guests use. The room we stayed in was very comfortable...the decor was endearingly weird...orange and a dark pinky red are the dominant colors, other than... More

Rosy was one of the most gracious and interesting people we have ever met. Her breakfasts were beautifully prepared and presented with a flair. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the garden. We will never forget our stay here.

Rosie greeted us warmly despite our late arrival. Our rooms were perfectly clean and very comfortable. We were guided to a lovely restaurant closeby below the Chateau walls and spent a very pleasant evening there followed by a great night's sleep in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was a triumph of home-made preserves, delicious bread and excellent cheeses. What we didn't... More

This accommodation has it all; very comfortable and spotlessly clean, delicious and varied breakfasts and a hostess who delights in ensuring that her guests' stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The glass of wine on our return from sight seeing was so welcomed and the inevitable surplus from Rosie's magnificent breakfasts that were packed up for our lunch... More

All the reviews of Rosie's place are true. The Escapade Amboisienne is a true gem amongst Chambres d'Hôtes. Breakfast choices include fresh fruit salad with yoghurt, 9 home made preserves with a superb selection of breads, wonderful omlettes, exceptional charcuterie and an incredible variety of cheeses. Anything left you take for lunch, we stayed for a week in her garden... More

This is a lovely B&B run by Rosie & her friendly dog. I didn't know what to expect, but it was fabulous and authentic. We were going to go out for dinner but it was lovely sitting in the garden with Rosie & her dog, sipping wine & watching the blackbirds feed their young in the tree closeby. There is... More

A fantastic B&B. Rosy, the proprietor, was very friendly. She has a dog who is no problem, well behaved. After putting our bags in our room we went out in to the garden area, and had a lovely chat with Rosy. She brought some nibbles out, and offered us a glass of wine. Our room had a toilet, and bathroom,... More
