Very comfortable and modern in quiet street just 5 mins from cathedral. Only problem is lack of parking - if you park mid afternoon-9am in the underground car park at the end of street it will cost 15-20 euros which then makes it an expensive overnight stay,

Thanks for your comment, we are more than glad that you enjoyed your stay with us at "L'Hôtel". We agree that it is too bad that Chartres is a city with only few free parking spaces... the city center is quite expensive to park cars. But we hope your trip in Chartres was worth it ! Best regards, L'Hôtel.

The location of this hotel was excellent - within a few minutes walk of the cathedral and in a quiet courtyard. The staff were friendly and helpful but we initially booked, by telephone, a standard room. it turned out to have a connecting door to another room (it was locked!) but when the guests next door came in we could...

We arrived just a little weary and were warmly welcomed and asked to view the two rooms available before booking in. We opted for the larger room and were so content extended our stay. Madame, her sister, and her daughter very helpful. Good size bathroom, very clean, good water pressure etc. We took the half board option and were more...

Very comfortable and affordable. Owner and daughter were very helpful, friendly and hospitable. Spoke English. Great location in this charming city. The shower was excellent. Good water pressure and hot. The room was big enough and the bed was very comfortable. Reserved, free parking. Would definitely stay here again.

the people of this hotel have spoiled my family vacations, not recommended, very bad public atencion, very dirty linen bugs in the rooms, is a very dirty place. least this elsewhere, very bad experience. restaurant food is bad, bad business to stay on this site. These people are not valid for managing a hotel, totally unprofessional. My experience is not...

For a town that has been doing pilgrims and tourists for as long as Chartres, the choice of accommodations seems somewhat limited if you arrive by train. Hoping for a room with a view of the cathedral or even just the picturesque old town, we checked out several hotels in Chartres, then realized that was easier said than done, and...

Stayed at this hotel in Chartres for one night which unfortunately was a Sunday.Lovely hotel with quite welcoming reception but only limited parking. The hotel is handy for the centre of town and the rooms are bright airy and comfortable with a fantastic shower in the bath room.Unfortunaty being Sunday the restaurant was closed (why can't the French realise that...

Nothing particularly remarkable about the hotel - a clean and comfortable reasonable sized room with a comfortable bed. The shower has lots of nozzles will make you thoroughly wet, achieving its purpose. A nice play to stay in Chartres. We also had dinner in the hotel, moules-frites, which I can recommend, served by a seemingly badly depressed waiter.

L'Hotel means The Hotel in French. Asked my taxi driver to take you to the one in Chartres and he asked which hotel?. Fortunately I had my reservation data on hand so he found it. There is a lot wrong with it: They asked my birthdate and passport number, something I remember doing for the last time in 1985 in...

We are very sorry that you found your stay in our Hôtel so bad. On the arrival of every foreign customer, we have to make him fill in a police paper, asking for birthdate and passport number ; that is French law, and we are very attached to respecting the law. Not evey hotel respects this police paper, that is...
