This is a wonderful small hotel, right across from the Loire river, in a "quiet location". The two women running the hotel were so friendly, courteous and helpful. They spoke great English. Our room was on the first floor (2nd story) and looked out over the pretty courtyard, where had it been warmer there were many tables and chairs to...

As others have said, the hotel is split into 3 different areas. We were in the Maison Bourgoise (19th century house) in what was clearly a living room complete with fireplace and 19th century furniture. It looked just like the picture above. Although full of character, our room contained all modern comforts including a very efficient shower. There is no lift(elevator)...

This hotel is located across from the market square within easy walking distance of the town attractions. It is made up of several buildings around a courtyard with a small garden. Breakfast is served in a glasshouse in the center of the courtyard. Our room was one floor up a narrow staircase with no elevator available. The room was a...

We find this lovely hotel when after a long day around the valley. After a few tastings, coming to this place was a great plan. There was a massive free parking just in front of the hotel, the rooms were nice and the bathroom was massive. The owner was english so that ease a little bit our need of speaking...

This hotel is very well situated in the centre of Chinon with safe free car parking in the main square opposite. We stayed for 5 nights in a superior room overlooking the peaceful garden but there are also standard rooms in the balcony annexe or in the delightful nineteenth century main building. The breakfasts are superb and great value for...

This hotel is well placed for visiting Chinon. Plenty of free parking opposite and the town is only a few minutes away. There is a good restaurant next door, also owned by the hotel. Rooms were clean, comfortable and have air con. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi. Lots of choice for breakfast, including some gluten free.

My daughter and I just got back from a fabulous week in the Loire Valley. We stayed two nights at Hotel Plantagenet in Chinon. It is in a great location - a short walk to the downtown shopping/restaurant area and also the Chateau. The staff was very nice - even when we couldn't figure out the lock on our door...

This lovely little hotel has very clean rooms, friendly staff and a very tasty breakfast. Rooms have AC, and comfortable beds. The price/quality is worth every Euro. We happened to stay here the few nights that Chinon had its biggest festivities, and really enjoyed our time!

I have food issues so I had trouble with the food in France. I have celiac so I must eat gluten free. I also drink only decaf coffee. This was the first breakfast in two weeks where I had enough to eat. They had gluten free cereal, nice fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt and decaf coffee. The woman at the front...

We were in the annex, a good family room but the appearance of the annex is dilapidated. Smelt of damp, garden needed grass cutting. Would have preferred a continental breakfast option, price of breakfast was high if you only wanted coffee and a croissant. Beware of mosquitos, I came away with 20 bad bites. Madam was lovely didn't take to...
