Had a lovely night at this charming, small hotel centrally located in the old city of Orleans. Our spacious room was the loveliest of any of the rooms we had in France -- beautiful antique furnishings, lovely linens, sparkling new bath. My only caveat would be that there is no elevator for luggage. They were very understanding about the challenge...

We had a fabulous one night stay here on our way to the Dordogne and it was just perfect. A very warm welcome and a great big family room with an amazingly tiled and decorated bathroom complete with bathrobes, slippers and quality toiletries, made our stay even more enjoyable. Rather leisurely and slightly limited breakfast but we were in France...

We stayed at L'Abeille on a stop-off in Orleans on our journey to the south of France. Orleans is beautiful and well worth a visit. Hotel L'Abeille is a fine, quirky, boutique hotel in the city centre. We had two rooms, each with a very individual style. The walls were stylishly covered with printed fabric and there were interesting pieces...

Perfect stopping off point on our trip through France and great location on one of the prettiest streets in Orleans. Plenty of on street parking and longer term just behind. Dog was made very welcome. Rooms are small but nicely appointed and ours had an excellent refurbished shower room. Only downside is accessibility with steep stairs if that is a...

nice hotel, good renovated and clean, friendly personal, great bio organic breakfast and stylish decoration - we loved our stay in this hotel without elevator but very charming woodstairs in the very center of the city - if you want to travel back in time it's the place to be!

I booked here for 2 nights for myself and my daughter. I chose this hotel largely because the New York Times had highly recommended it a few years back in one of its "36 hours in XYZ" columns. I don't know how this hotel got its third star; it's essentially a two star hotel with a nice lobby, as far...

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel de L'Abeille. The hotel has unique character and charm and the receptionists were excellent. Pros * Great location, close to tram and in downtown * Close to restaurants * Charming house-lots of floral wall paper and furniture * Room was spacious, included bath tub * Receptionists were excellent and very nice * House...

This hotel is very quickly. But we loved it. It is like living in one of the grand chateaux - but smaller. The rooms are beautifully decorated. And the reception and breakfast room are a delight to be in. We felt like French nobility. There are quirks. Very steep stairs and rooms are a bit compromised in space. But we...

Good old fashioned quirky hotel in town centre. Stairs are rather narrow and there are no lifts so not fully accessible. Service was accommodating and front reception fully manned at all hours. Convenient for sights, shopping etc

It's a very traditional old French hotel and at first glance it looks quite pleasant, but I can't say I was massively impressed by my stay. My room was very dark and rather small. The room was clean; the bed was big and comfortable; but my bathroom was so tiny that at first I thought it was a cupboard. In...
