When we stay in Paris, we always stay in Mama Shelter. A few highlights: – The staff are warm and friendly – even if your French is terrible. – The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable (but more about that in a minute). – The restaurant and attached pizza eatery offer affordable, delicious food (a god send to vegetarians staying...

Quirky hotels have been "the rage" for sometime now. I remember staying in the W off Times Square many years ago sleeping in a cupboard with the laughing cavalier eyeing me up... Often quirky means there is some failing that the hotel is trying to cover up; room size, location, etc. At mama shelter the rooms are not big, but...

On the small side for the room, but clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable and it's nice to have access to free movies. Nice atmosphere. The area is worth to discover with plenty of genuine bars, restaurants and boutiques.

The single rooms are a perfect size for a solo traveller, and good value for money too. The location was perfect. The bar seemed like the place to be in the evenings, great music, the negroni's we're divine as we're the pizzas. I love Mama and I will be trying them all.

Different from anything I've been to before, but cool place. OK if you don't need to live in city centre. A bit dark invironment so not the best choice if you have problems with your sight I guess. Breakfast was good.

Great hotel to stay in! Design hotel with a very good restaurant and crowded bar. Very nice atmosphere. Rooms are not that big but offers a lot of comfort with a great shower. Parking is underneath the hotel but is pretty expensive. Location for sightseeing is not that ideal.... However, the hotel is totally worth it.

I'm in bed at the hotel writing the review now. Hotel is located by the Porte de Bagnolet metro station (10 mins from here ). Hotels parking is not bad and it's 22 euros a night. Well designed, stylish sexy hotel. I met a lovely receptionist Marie aimé I guess. She explained everything and speaks several languages. Breakfast was amazing...
