This medium-sized hotel is outstanding. Wonderful location, particularly if you are going to the Musee D'Orsay. Service is exceptional. Breakfast is very good. We love the bar in all seasons. We will definitely book this hotel again when we next visit Paris

This hotel and its staff prove all those rumours about rude Parisians are actually wrong. From check-in to check-out, we were met by polite, helpful people. The room at the top with a view of the Eiffel is something we will always remember, as well as the unusually opulent breakfast that was served in the room on a huge tray...

This hotel is very well kept, clean, and modern but it also has a lot of Parisian charm. It's easy walking distance to lots of the sights including the Louvre, Pont des Arts and Musee de l'Orangerie. The staff were very friendly and the lobby is nice and cosy in the winter time.

This hotel is the best we have ever stayed at. We were a family of 6. The showers were amazing with many different settings. Comfortable beds with beautiful linen. Extremely helpful staff, you could tell the staff really loved their jobs and were proud to work at this establishment. Excellent room service.

I make frequent trips to Paris and my favorite place to stay is this hotel. I feel well cared for and the renovation is lovely and comfortable. This location is very central and in my opinion the best location in Paris. I have stayed in several parts of the city.

Hotel Montalembert is a good choice of hotel in Paris. Good price to quality. Rooms are nice, clean, with natural light. The staff is very nice (Rare in Paris). The hotel is well located in the Saint GERMAIN's Area. The space close to the fireplace is nice for a coffee and you will regularly see some french "unknown" celebrity at...

Great little hotel in Paris - perfect if you're looking to avoid the generic big hotel chain experience. Very friendly service, even when I arrived very early in the morning. Excellent restaurant. Rooms a bit small - this is Paris after all - but lobby beautifully decorated.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
