Just completed a wonderful 3 day stay here. A good choice for you if: (1) You appreciate charming spaces with character. Decorated with flea market finds, vintage pieces. (2) Friendly and attentive service (3) want to be in central location that is quiet and has a neighborhood feel. Not a good fit if you prefer all new decor, want high...

We booked this hotel because we wanted to try a new area in Paris and it had excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel has very friendly and accomodating staff and it has a cosy, quiet feel and is close to Jardin to Luxembourg and Le Bon Marché. Sadly though, it falls short due to its quite low standard. Hotel rooms...

Very friendly staff, the room is quite nice with all basics, nicely kept, clean, all supplies and with a Parisian feeling all the way. The staff is friendly and helpful. Location is just walk to shops, metros, and in a quiet street. I would go again and again.

What a wonderful place this is. You enter through a door which has the feel of a garden door. Then instead of the traditional 'reception desk' there is a sturdy work desk, surrounded by books, plants and other stuff, and a warm welcome by Veronique. There are comfy sites, and the breakfast room is in the cellar. The room I...

We stayed in five places over 13 nights in France and this hotel was our favorite. The price was very reasonable, so we were very surprised at how nicely updated everything was. We had two big windows looking over the street, so could get the nice breeze when we slept. Beautiful bedding - actual crisp sheets! Nice little sitting area...

We stayed here for 3 nights and originally selected the hotel because it was close to our friends who lived around the corner. But regardless of the proximity, this little boutique hotel was a great find. The room was smallish but very comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning in the hotel's quaint little basement room. The location was...

The hotel is not only very well located in the 6e. Once you enter the lobby you feel like home. Véronique and Alice are just very warm and welcoming ladies, ready to help to make their clients' stay as easy and well as possible. The rooms are spacious with a typical Parisian style. Breakfast buffet offers a good and fresh...

We only stayed here for one night (on return back to Paris) but would love to go back and have a longer stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful with arranging taxis. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and elegantly served. We booked a family room (adjacent rooms) for four people. It was perfect! We were put on...

Spent 9 days at Hotel Le Saint Gregoire. Perfect in so many ways: Location 1 minute from Metro Saint Placide. So convenient to all locations. Nothing further than a 15 minute subway ride. Shops of all kind in neighbourhood. Walking distance to numerous restaurants; wine bars etc. A few blocks from Bon Marche stores as well. Walking distance to Luxenbourg...

I stayed for only one me night whilst on business in Paris. Initial impressions of the reception/lounge are were good. However my room on the ground floor was less impressive. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
