My wife and I just had our second amazing stay at Hotel de l'Abbaye. After loving it three years ago, we were delighted to experience the same magic as before -- beautiful spaces, quiet yet convenient location, outstanding service and excellent rooms. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough!

We recently spent three nights in Paris at Hotel L'Abbaye in the Saint Germaine region. It was a charming boutique hotel, serving breakfast in a delightful glass conservancy in the garden. The staff were so accommodating with dinner reservations and walking maps. It was recommended by friends at our golf club....we will be back. I have forwarded the name already...

Our family of 6 ( grandparents, parents and two teens) chose l'Abbaye because it looked lovely on the website, was well located and had an "apartment" with connecting rooms for the teens. The hotel staff was extraordinary through making all arrangements and especially for excellent transportation from the TGV on arrival and to the Airport on departure. Our rooms were...

This was our second stay at Hotel de l'Abbaye (my husband and I had stayed here previously) and it was as wonderful this time as the last. The rooms are decorated beautifully, the breakfast is very nicely done and a great convenience, and the staff is exceptionally helpful and welcoming.

My daughter and I stayed here for 8 nights earlier this month. It is one of the most charming and comfortable places I've stayed. The staff is courteous and helpful. We loved the location, just steps away from the St. Sulpice metro stop. The neighborhood is quiet yet close to sights and shopping. I personally prefer the left bank and...

L'Abbaye is as Parisian as they come. Impeccable decor, dignified service, garden with a lovely fountain, quiet side street in a Left Bank location perfect for walking, shopping, and soaking up ancient and modern history . If you're looking for hip and modern this is not your place, but my husband and I absolutely loved its old world charm.

We spent 5 days in Paris and stayed at Hotel de l'Abbaye. It was la love very experience. While the room was small it had a closet as well as 2 small bedside closets. We had a large bathroom and the tub was quite high, which could be difficult for some people. We did not have a refrigerator, which was...

Felt at home the moment we arrived. The front courtyard is a lovely entrance to a lovely hotel. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. The downstairs lounge/lobby area are simply perfect. The little breakfast area, overlooking the beautiful interior courtyard was heaven in the morning! A lovely light breakfast of fresh French pasties and bread with delicious fresh squeezed...

Stayed at the Hotel de l'Abbaye last spring (April 2015) and had a wonderful trip. I had booked a regular room, but upgraded when we arrived. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast and evening drinks in the lobby were lovely. The location is perfect for exploring the Latin Quarter and surrounding areas. I would not hesitate to book another trip here.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
