We stayed 3 nights at the Hotel de Vendome for our honeymoon. We are SLH members. Upon arrival we were surprised with an upgrade to the Presidential Suite. What an amazing room! It is more like an entire floor of the building. With 1 full and half baths, a dining room, an office, a large deck, living room, and multiple...

With summer 2012 here, getting a good hotel room in Paris at a reasonable price is very challenging. Searching various websites, 5 star hotels ranged from $450 to 1500 Euros. Having visited Paris many times, we were happy to locate a very well priced room at the Hotel de Vendome, large in size with a very ample bedroom, which has...

The hotel rooms are great - they have automated lights in the room as well as curtains; so after a long day of shopping and site seeing, no...

The hotel was wonderful - only 29 rooms but very personable...It was right in the middle of the city but I felt very secure. Not much english which was okay because I needed to...

Just a short walk from the hotel is the shopping area of st Germaine, the louvre, Eiffel and the jardin de toullieries. The hotel is great for the price. Worth all it's stars. The reception spoke a little English but was as friendly as French go. There is a cafe next door that serves breakfast and has free wifi. This...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1723 by Pierre Perrin, the Sun King's secretary, this elegant building was in turn a private residence and a seat of government, then in 1842 the embassy of the young Republic of Texas whose independence France was the first to recognise. The square is named from the fact that n°1 was the site of the former Vendome family residence. Three centuries of art, culture and elegance make it a unique address in Paris. The Hotel de Vendome is thus a unique jewel, on a par with all the precious stones in the vicinity. ... more   less
