From the moment I entered Le Citizen, I sensed I had chosen a truly ‘special’ place. I was greeted by a charming young lady called Laure, who – in addition to cheerfully tolerating my dreadful schoolboy French – made me feel like a guest in her home. The hotel is in a charming location by the side of the Canal...

Wonderful and warm hotel in a great, off-beat area. Though the rooms are small (expected) they were finished to a high standard and very comfortable, fantastic staff and very welcoming. Good breakfasts and a really nice way to the start the day in the breakfast room watching the canal side bustle. Would highly recommend it and looking forward to returning....

We were only in Paris for three days and loved our time we spent realizing in the room, you can't say that for a lot of European hotels. The staff was VERY friendly, responsive ,informative and attentive. We would definitely stay in this hotel again when visiting Paris! Also, love that's a green hotel!

For a large city hotel I was really impressed with Citizen's friendliness, cleanliness, and even room size. The hotel is very modern (you get an iPad with your room) and the space is decorated interestingly. The staff is incredibly helpful and goes above normal customer service to help out. The location is a fun area of town. We only stayed...

Negatives: 1. Size of the room (small even by european standards - but please note we stayed in the smallest room), 2. No drip coffee (minor negative), 3. Weekend street noise from people gathering in the evening at the canal for picnics. Positives: 1. Super responsive service (caring, helpful, prompt, professional), 2. AC great, 3. Best shower in the world,...

We stayed over in Le Citizen Hotel three times during our trip to Europe and I would easily visit it again! The personnel were very kind and helpful and we could really relax in the rooms. The hotel has a beautiful setting and I believe it would be ideal for night owls as well! The rooms were delightful and the...

Le Citizen is a very good hotel based on all the trip advisor reviews and on my own experience. But to start with what I suppose is a somewhat negative comment I am nevertheless surprised that it rates as no 2 of 1,840 hotels in Paris. What does that say for the others ? I have been coming to Paris...

Really excellent hotel. Absolutely nothing negative about our 2 night stay. Just wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely staff. Room is small but so well organised. Location is terrific, with added bonus that only a 15-20 minute walk from Eurostar at Gare du Nord. Easy walking distance to both Buttes Chaumont and Belleville parks, both of which are highly...

We normally stay in Marais, but decided this time to stay somewhere else. Le Citizen is absolutely lovely! I agree with all the previous TA contributors, it's hard to find anything that could be better. The location is great, the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, iPad, free telephone calls, complimentary minibar and a very nice breakfast (with wonderful bread...

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Paris. We stayed in this lovely little hotel. It's new and squeaky clean, the staff is the friendliest we've run across in France, the room (Zen suite) worked perfectly for us. I was a little bit nervous about staying in the 10th, we usually stay in the 7th by the Eiffel tower, but...
