I always want to stay here when I come to Paris. I love the friendly and helpful staff. Love the unique rooms, the small elevator and curving stairs, the warmth and serenity of the garden and courtyard, the great location in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, and the reasonable rates for the quiet and comfortable rooms. Also loved hearing the tolling...

there are accomodations you come in and feel home immediately. Hotel des Marronieres is definitely one of them: very 'Parisienne', excellent located, heavently quite, cosy well furnitured rooms, a yummy breakfast, a beautiful garden and the most friendly staff makes it hard to departure at the end of your stay. I will be back again.

A great place to be in Paris. Convenient for the Metro. In a delightful street. A very traditional set back entrance. Friendly. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Neither room nor bathroom capacious but if you are out on the town who cares?

I always stay here when I go to Paris, and just got back (November 2013). It has all that I need: friendly, helpful staff; reasonable prices; clean, comfortable rooms; lovely breakfast room; and a great location near the Metro in a delightful, walkable neighborhood full of markets, bookstores, shops, historical spots, and great little restaurants. It's tucked off the street...

We have stayed in this hotel at least 4 times in the last 12 years. The staff is always welcoming (even though they do not necessarily remember us) The location is perfect, a quiet neighborhood, but close to everything. The rooms are small, but compact and decorated in an interesting manner. Staff is very helpful, made dinner reservations for us,...

I tiny bijoux hotel with faded elegance. Rooms tiny but manageable and a lovely large window overlooking the courtyard. Easily accessible for the city and some lovely little restaurant's very close by. The rooms are tiny, the views entrancing and the lift eccentric. The bathroom is easily missed if you are not paying attention. The service was non-existent. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

A tea room is available for guests of hotels and passers-by in the veranda, in the garden or beautiful vaulted cellar of the Hotel Des Marronniers. The property is ideally located in the center of the capital. The Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral or the Luxembourg Gardens are just a few minutes walk.
