I had stayed here 10 years ago and had fond memories of the hotel. The lobby is still elegant. The location is superb! The rooms are a dismal disgrace for a four star hotel. I was told my room was being upgraded to “superior” at no additional cost. I was appalled when I saw the room. The bed was so...

If you look at the website and decide to splash out on this lovely looking hotel, beware, you will be truly disappointed in what you find. There are much nicer hotels in Paris, much cheaper. I found out afterwards Parisians know how bad the St James is. Arrived to be greeted by a rude receiptionist. Who told me because my...

We didn't have a room so the Travel desk at the airport helped us. The location of this hotel couldn't be better! The metro was litterally across the street and so was the Louvre. The room was a little pricey ($300), but most stuff in Paris is. We didn't have 3 people though so I guess it wasn't too bad....

We stayed at the St. James & Albany Hotel-Spa the first time we took the kids to Paris. The room we had was very nice--a quad with floor to ceiling windows looking out over a courtyard. Heavy plush curtains provided plenty of privacy (and style). The room was really two rooms--a "living room" with sofa, tv, chairs, and two beds,...

The courtyard is impressive but the room was very mediocre given the price.

I travel to paris quite often for business reasons. I happened to stay at the st james during my last trip, with a large group of clients. In Paris is it possible to find many better accomodations at the same rate. The only poit of strenght is the address...all attractions are at wolking-distance and even the undreground is just across...

The location is fantastic as everything is either a walk away or a cheap taxi ride. The Consierge was very helpful and full of good advice. The spa is small but a welcome bit of calm after all the siteseeing. We will return even though the room itself was not the best in the hotel. It compared favourably with others I...

I stay to St. James & Albany for work purposes. I love the location and rooms. High ceilings and big for Parisian standards. Besides it has a great pool. Concierge is very friendly and useful. Room servie is not the good. I asked for an ironing machine in the morning to get to work, they took like 40 minutes and...

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel right on the main street and very close to the Louvre. Our room faced the courtyard so it was very quiet. The staff was helpfull which was nice after a rocky flight. We felt safe walking around the area. It's not the Latin Quarter, so it's not for the young crowd. The...

W stayed at the St. James & Albany for 7 nights in early May, 2010.My husband and I were meeting our brother and sister-in-law, who selected the hotel based on location (they have been to Paris several times before.) I was a bit concerned about the choice after reading some Trip Advisor reviews, but were pleased with our week there....
