Most staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Location offers good shopping, selection of restaurants, subway, sightseeing and playground for younger children. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet. Large buffet was fresh and great way to start day

If you know Paris, then you know you can be lucky to get a room which provides enough space to walk around your bed nevertheless of the size of your suitcases. Novotel is one of these few hotels. I had a nice room on the top floor, got free high speed internet access. I could open my window over looking...

This hotel's location is hard to beat for a Paris weekend. You can walk to the Louvre, the Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame and Boulevard St. Germain, while the Les Halles complex is just out the door. We toured Paris by Batobus (the hop on-hop off boat service) and staggered back to our room at the end of our 12-hour...

We booked the Novotel les Halles primarily because we were coming into Paris from Beauvais on the shuttle bus to Porte Maillot then on the metro to les Halles. It was a great choice! The hotel itself is modern, extremely clean, spacious sound-proofed rooms and has a great bar area. The staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. An added...

We have stayed here several times now, and we just love the location. You are in the middle of Paris with the most lovely pedestrian street just north from the hotel, where you can enjoy a café au lait on small cafées while watching parisians walking by with their dogs, kids and of course their baguettes. Don't miss out on:...

Excellent location for site seeing. Rer train, metro on doorstep. Breakfast not included in price & at 18 Euros each was expensive for 4. Plenty of places nearby for breakfast (4 for the price of 1 in hotel!!). Would highly recommend buying Paris Pass, includes rer, metro bus tickets and most attractions. Walked straight into Louvre when the queue must...

The great virtue of this bustling hotel is that it is in a pedestrianised zone a moment from the Pompidou Centre and with a massive metro interchange beneath ( and also a garage for guests,so rare in Paris ). Our room was immaculate and had a great view of Montmartre. Bathrooms are not big but are decent. No noise penetrated...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
