My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while on holiday in Paris. The location is perfect - close to the Latin Quarter with lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. The hotel is quaint and our room was good - nicely decorated, clean and a fair size. Nice bathroom with seperate spa bath which...

Unfortunately stayed only 1 night. The reception desk was extremely nice and helpful. Such a breath of fresh air after a long trip. Yes the rooms are small but that is normal for Paris. The room was everything you could want for a boutique hotel. Walking distance to several sites and close to the rail if you want to go...

My trip was extended by one night, so I decided to look for another hotel. The St. Paul had a room available, and after my stay, I wished I had spent my entire time in Paris there. Super location on a side street around the corner from the Sorbonne and Pantheon. I had the smallest room, which was not as...

Smallish place on the left bank we stayed in for 3 nights in a junior suite (extra bed for our daughter). The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel itself was very smart and clean. Our room had fabric wall coverings. Breakfast was a good continental, I suppose you could describe the breakfast room as 'cosy' being small and...

We stayed at the Hotel St. Paul Rive Gauche for ten nights while in Paris for our son's wedding. The hotel staff was warm, accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The breakfast room, with its vaulted ceiling, was cozy and quiet-two important factors in the morning. The breakfast featured cheeses and wonderful croissants, plain and chocolate,...

We had 5 nights at this lovely little hotel in the Latin Quarter. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. We left something crucial behind and they made sure we received forgotten items promptly. The rooms were clean and cosy and the breakfast provided plenty of variety (no hot items, which we didn't expect anyway). The location is very...

This is my second time at this hotel and once again it was wonderful. The staff was the same and as friendly as ever. Very much a family atmosphere. They remembered us (which might not be a good thing) from our last stay. The place is small and quaint in the middle of Saint Germain/Saint Michael area. Rooms are a...

*Disclaimer*I was an extremely nervous Paris traveler based on negative descriptions from a long ago former co-worker, and a lackluster freshman college French course. Despite the above, I cannot say enough about how wonderful the staff at this exquisite hotel made our family stay in Paris. From the lovely red awning to the sumptuously quirky lobby and sitting area (loved...

My daughter and I shared a modest upper level room with two single beds for five nights. This hotel is absolutely darling. Adorable rooms, friendly and helpful service, great location situated between Luxembourg Gardens and Seine. We stayed in a top floor superior double which had wonderful sloped ceilings and mansard rooftop windows. Bathroom was modern and comfortable. We loved our stay and would definitely go back.

Dear Guests, I thank you very much for your lovely review . Our top floor rooms are very cosy and comfortable and charming indeed but the slopped ceiling may not be suitable for very tall persons. Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less
