Situated in a nice area of the city within walking distance of Gare du Nord which is useful in the strikes. It has small but well furnished rooms with a decent bed, air conditioning, tea and coffee making. The breakfast room is on the first floor. It provides a decent buffet ranging from croissants to scrambled egg or cereals to yoghurts. We would stay again.

Old style hotel which i liked, room was clean and comfortable bed and good shower but that is where the good ended.

Location is not the best, not many restaurants around, quite a walk to the Louvre. Be aware there is a tiny lift but there are more stairs on each floor to negotiate with suitcases.

I am loyal to Accor and feel as a gold member I received zero benefits. Room was not ready at 3pm (2pm check in) and had to wait with no chairs to sit on, no welcome drink offered, probably the worst room in the hotel, booking said city view instead we had a lovely view of an internal wall and windows on the 3rd floor, incredibly difficult to get a 1 hour late check out, constantly fobbed off to next shift, when finally granted the cleaners kept coming in so we gave up and left. Staff were unwelcoming and generally unhelpful. Felt as if I might have just walked in off the street instead of spending a lot of money this year in Accor hotels, in fact most of the Ibis hotels we used had better rooms and staff.

Definitely better hotels in Paris

Old building but well maintained and clean. Room size okay. Bathroom tiny tiny tiny and no bidet. No plastic bottles which is great, BUT the glass bottle which you can fill in front of the elevator is not cleaned and in our case still had some water inside from the previous use. The previous guest may have drunk from it directly….. hygiene at level zero. The bottle should have been cleaned/sterilized and packed in a sealed envelope to safeguard the new guests. Reception young lady not very experienced. Not really value for money

The hotel is newly refurbished to a high standard of design, despite the fact that the rooms are rather small. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the location of the hotel is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Reading the reviews I was concerned about how the rooms would be and the lift. Lift was very small for the size of the hotel and only one I didn’t use it but apparently it was slow but ok. We were the 5th floor in a privilege room with terrace which was nice. Room was clean and serviced daily. Had an issue with check was given the wrong room so that all took awhile to sort. Location was a bit out of the way not really in a big hub of restaurants unless you did a bit of a walk. Found a great cafe/boulangerie which had great food and coffee for breakfast also a bonus having Starbucks so close

So convenient next to metro Richelieu Drouot, walking distance to Opera/Galeries Lafayette. Many restaurants & cafes nearby. Even single room was super comfortable with a large bathroom. Very quiet & calm with courtyard view. Staff was friendly & helpful. Definitely my favorite Mercure hotel of the area.

Great location. Good service. Checkin was easy and very quick and our room was ready early as requested if possible. No noise at all from the street or from the hotel itself. Breakfast was good with great pastries and lovley options for tea. We enjoyed staying here.

Lovely hotel though not sure why it is referred to as Louvre as it is not close to the Louvre at all and is also quite a walk from Opera. But it is in a quiet area not too far from most places by Metro or a good walk. My room was nice overlooking a quiet side street, the staff were very friendly and the place was clean.

I only had breakfast there as diwn the street at the junction to the main road there are tons of cafes brasseries and restaurants at normal Paris prices. My impresion us the hotel doesn’t try to compete beyond breakfast and is designed for sleeping only. In our room (Suite) there was a minibar, kettle and cups.

What is the easiest and cheapest way to get from CDG airport to this hotel? Thanks
Answer from achansy
Singapore River, Singapore82 contributions10 helpful votes
When I was there, what I did was I took a train from CDG to Gare Du Nord and then took an Uber which cost me less then 10 €. Use your google map to check the price. But just a note of advice , the driver cannot go into the taxi stand. Usually you ll have to get out of the stations and provide a pickup point , example .. a cafe or in front of a restaurant (name of restaurant ) or a hotel .
