Service and assistance was good. The front of hotel is under some kind of construction or make-over. However, the location is fantastic. You can walk anywhere and se plenty. Rooms and those particulars are more than you need. Breakfast is excellent...points for some great coffee. Answered many questions including hints are where to walk and little short cuts.

This is a great hotel in a prime location. It's modern, the rooms are huge, and we had a great view of the Sacre Coeur from our 6th floor room. The breakfast was a bit pricey (18 Euro for the full-breakfast) but it's Paris - everything is expensive. The hotel had free wi-fi, and was very close to the metro....

Mercure can normally be relied on for concistency and quality and we were not disappointed. Admittedly the hotel is not is one of the best districts but we found it safe and easy to access the metro (literally a one minute walk). The check in staff were helpful and spoke good english. Olivier was particularly helpful. We had a privilege...

We stayed in April for 3 nights, upgraded to a superior room due to hotel refurbishments. We were up on the 5th floor room 538, in between linen cupboards, so no problem with noisy neighbours!! Turn left out of the hotel and within a 5 minute walk, you are in the beautiful village of Montmartre....a true sense of Paris. The...

the prestige rooms are very pleasant, with a view on Paris roofs, and a few extras (expresso coffee machine). Beds are ultra cumnfortable. The restaurant looks like a canteen but it is under renovation and should look better soon. Good value for money

We stayed here for 3 nights . We enjoyed walking to the Sacre Coeur as well as the cafes and shops on nearby Rue Joseph De Maistre and around Place de Clichy. The 95 bus stops directly in front of the hotel and is an easy and quick way to get to the Louvre. You don't need to buy bus...

The lobby of the hotel looks like a metrostation in state of renovation. The valet crew seems to be lost since their working space is reduced for 90 percent. Check in has not been renovated since 1982, the last time they renovated the hotel. There is an computer at the lobby but you have to sit on a kind of...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
