Good Points **************** The hotel is literally 1 minute walking distance from Place De Clichy metro station. It is located on a busy street but with a small entrance. The concierge is nice, staff was very friendly and polite especially a guy name Khalil (I think that's what his name was). It was a quiet season so they upgraded us...

Had a four-day stay here in January, traveling with my Mum who had never been to Paris. The hotel is in a great location, lively and safe area of Montmartre, a short walk from the metro at Place de Clichy, also Blanche and Pigalle in finer weather. It snowed for the duration of our stay, and the room was warm,...

My partner and I stayed here as it was slightly cheaper than the city centre options and was still a good name hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, very nice, spacious rooms with all modern functions. The service however is average. Breakfast is over priced and the free wifi is shocking. Kicks you off constantly and has trouble connecting. We...

I went to Paris last weekend on business and stayed at the Mercure. The room was quaint, but clean and the bathroom is large. I shared the room with a co-worker and it was suffice. This was our first trip to Paris together and we loved this hotel. We were given a free upgrade to a superior room. Our room had a huge comfortable bed and provided everything we needed. The wifi worked well for us. The mini fridge and seating area was great. Although it is near the metro we choose to walk everywhere...

Good hotel, convenient location close to public transport (Place du Clichy Station). Rooms with good size, clean and with a kingsize bed. Free WiFi in the rooms but with bad quality. Great Breakfast, but not included in the room price.

Stayed in the hotel one night. Good hotel and I recommend it.. Easy to find, convenient location close to public transport. Reasonable price. Rooms with normal dimensions, not a small box like most of the hotels in Paris. Free WiFi in the rooms.

We stayed at the Mercure as part of a tour group, and were treated differently to other paying guests - we were kept seperate from the main breakfast room (therefore receiving a substandard breakfast) and some members of the reception team were particularly unhelpful. Paris hotel rooms are notoriously small, so it was a nice surprise to find our double...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
