My bride and I can say with certainty we would love to return here. The location is pretty great if you don't mind a stroll or using transit to get to the major sites. It is literally down the street from the Sacre Cours (sp?) Cathedral, which is one of the most surprisingly stunning churches we have ever seen. For...

We had a private room with private shower. Although the room and bath were quite small but they were clean. It was a little bit too noisy on the nights because of the stairs and the fan but for me who can get sleep easily was not a big deal. The breakfast room is on the -1 floor, small and...

I reserved on this hostel quite in a hurry, and I'm glad that I was able to find availability on this one. The place has a pretty location, near lot of restaurants and a metro station, just a 5-7 mins walk maybe. The room was nice (I got in a 6-bed ensuite) with view to the street, with personal lockers...

1. The lift is so small everybody takes the stairs, making heaps of noise, until VERY late, guests scream in the hallway... The place (doors mainly) is so bad insulated, you cannot get a good rest! Its like creaming next to your bed. The hallway has NO noise reducing effects to it, it s got everything to make it worse....

I'm sure if I was a bit younger, I wouldn't have minded the cramped quarters or the mysterious smells in the room (and bathroom); however, I was a little put off by the smells and the bed was hard--too hard for me. The location, though, in Monmartre, can't be beat and the breakfast was good, too, although I would recommend...

The hostel is pretty good, especially comparing to other hostels in Paris. I stayed in a 4 bed female dorm room, with an ensuite. The room was nice, the shower and toilets were clean, the beds are regular bunk-beds. I was only there for a few days, but if you intend to stay longer you might mind the small kitchen...

Myself and a friend took a short trip to Paris and wanted somewhere central and cheap to rest after a day of sightseeing. This place was perfect! We used the Blanche metro stop which was just a few minutes walk but there is another metro station nearby which connects to a different line. The area itself is obviously the 'red...

By Paris standards, this was a very decent hostel. The rooms are quite small, but comfortable enough. It had all of the basics; free wifi, clean bathrooms, lockers etc. so I can't complain. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast is fairly basic (a piece of bread, a croissant, cereal and tea & coffee) but included in the price....

Rooms are tiny, just like the bathrooms. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and beds made a very loud noise when we'd move on it. A bit annoying but if you are a heavy sleeper like me, you won't have problems with it. Breakfast is decent. Location is AMAZING! Near bars, restaurants, shops, grocery stores.. 3min walk to train...

This hostel's greatest asset is it's amazing location! It's right in the heart of Montmartre (and not the dodgy end!), just down the road from the artist's square, is a short walk from the Sacre Coeur and surrounded by so many cafes, restaurants, bakeries, bars etc. It's also super close to the metro so great for getting around Paris! The...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
