This is a lovely hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff who could speak English. We did feel that our room was rather small and it was difficult to find space for our luggage but the room was very well appointed and we were given a free upgrade to an executive room on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and as...

It's pretty much like the lyrics from the song from the Sound of Music - small and bright, clean and white :) The hotel seems to have been recently built or renovated - the room was very clean and felt new, but even in the executive room I was in, it was too small to full fold out my luggage...

We stayed here over the weekend, on our arrival we were put in room 502 which was a good size with a large ensuite wc and shower room, plenty room to move. About 1 hour after arriving there was a plumbing mishap (water came through the ceiling), we were quickly moved to another 'comparable' room 301 which was the only...

Paris was our first stop on our European tour and before coming, I have read reviews that European hotel rooms are quite small. Once we entered our room in Le Carre Folies Opera, we were very surprised at how tiny the room was. We quickly got over the size issue though, because the room was very clean, modern, high end...

This was our first visit to Paris we stayed off the beaten path and chose this hotel. It was only a few minutes walk to the metro Cadet Station which was 3 stops from the Pyramids and Louvre. The location was great, it had a real French vibe and it wasn't so loud and touristy as being closer to where...

We booked a Superior room Queen Bed with free Wireless Internet more than 2 months in advance. We stayed for a week on the 6th floor. The good: • Located in a one way street, 5-10 minute walk from Cadet metro station. • It is a lively and beautiful area with few tourists and more locals. • The street got...

My wife and I just spend two nights here. The rooms are modern and clean. Very small, but I understand that most hotels are like this in Paris. No room for clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases, which is OK for two days, but a bit of a challange if you are staying longer. They have larger rooms,...

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to give some feedback about your recent stay with us. I will try and remain fair and factual even though this hotel ruined my Paris break due to the sweltering temperatures in the room (25 degC with windows open for the first 2 nights). I was unable to get more than 4 hours sleep a night and the hotel refused to activate the A/C. Let us start with some good...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
