We had 2 rooms, a twin & a single, very clean & comfortable, good service, central location & very reasonably priced. We didnt have breakfast as we ate out with our friend but it was... More

A good hotel! Nice neigbourhood with several restaurants and a small bakery just down the road so you can start your day with some croisants or pain chocolat! Breakfast was above average and the overall the ecperience was what we hoped for. Rooms very small but clean!

The hotel is close to two Metro stations which can get you around the city fairly quickly. There are many cafes nearby that are open quite late it seemed. Several movie theaters are within easy walking distance and show many movies in English. The hotel staff was very polite and spoke English well. I had room 61, a corner room... More

Shower dirty. Light bulb out and I asked for a new one... front desk attendent said "The person who does that... More

We travel around Europe quite a bit so are used to small room, nut our 5th floor room at the Apollinaire was very cosy even by Parisian standards. The bathroom also had a bit of mould - but apart from that it was very clean, and we couldn't hear anyone in other rooms. We paid 90euros for one night as... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

“Most rooms seemed to have elevator access, but not room 10, which we needed for its three beds. Stairs were tolerable.”

“I think you need to ask for a larger room, away from the street noise. But I am sure it will cost more.”

“If you get to your room and realise it is right next to the elevator possibly go back to reception and get another room. I talked to the people in this kind of room and they were saying it was not so great :( I think there are 5 floors of rooms and just 1 room on each floor is directly next top the elevator.”

“Get a room that faces the street as this will allow you to see the local life.”
of 5 bubbles Keec, 2 Aug 2014 | Read review
“Higher floors have slightly less street noise. The little lift is rather noisy opening and closing. I had two rooms on the street side and I sleep lightly but as the windows are double glazed noise wasn't a problem at all.”
