We stayed in this well located hotel for 3 nights. There was a problem on arrival with the payment and the room but hotel staff dealt with it very well and we were pleased, plus they happily speak English :). Lovely river view from windows and very quite in the night despite being by the main road. Hotel is right...

The Hotel du Quai-Voltaire is across from the Louvre on the Left Bank with magnificent views of the Seine from all the windows. The location is perfect. The Louvre is across the bridge over the Seine, the D'Orsay is a short walk down the street, the Batobus is in front of the D'Orsay. It is walking distance to Notre Dame,...

It is all abut the location of this hotel. We stayed here 6 years ago and found it amazing. It had recently been refurbished but it appears that nothing and I mean nothing has been done since. I am sure the towels we used 6 years ago were still in use as they were very thin. Room we were given...

I stayed at the HotelduQuaiVoltaire.com in November of 2001. I was meeting a French friend there and he, knowing the city, chose this hotel for our stay. It is located very close to the Musee d' Orsay and the Louvre, and nearby Metro stations make the entire city easily accessable. The hotel, in general, isn't lavish, but it's lovely nevertheless....

We stayed for 4 nights at this 3 star hotel. A true 3 star with rooms a bit tied, double bed only and a very small lift that feels like it will break down at any time. Pricing compared to other 3 star hotels we looked at was comparable, so it is value for what you get. We normally stay...

Dear Sir, I was very surprised at your comments about the distance to restaurants as we have a choice of brasseries, small French restaurants, deluxe restaurants just by the hotel or in the streets behind within a maximum of 5 minutes walk! Maybe you decided to choose other restaurants that were far from the hotel. Next time do not hesitate...

Looking out on the Seine and the Louvre from the hotel window. Well, then you really are in Paris! This hotel has a great lcation, near the subway, and near the sigths. Very simple breakfast. The tinieset elevator we have ever seen, but it took us to our room. Ask for a room with river view! Friendly staff.

What a brilliant spot to stay. The staff were super friendly. The room was old and the floor was on a lean and made terrible noises when walking on it. Big bathroom. Tiny lift. No air con. Perhaps this is what inner Paris hotels are like, I'm not sure. We did feel like it was quite a unique experience.

The hotel is very, very conveniently located, right across from the Louvre and with easy access to some of the most inspiring neighborhoods of Paris. The staff is also very friendly. The hotel is a bit tired by all in all still acceptable for Paris. Street noise insulation is good. Rooms are small but doable. Breakfast is, for the price...

Husband and I stayed here September 7-13, third Paris trip. We've stayed in 1st before and wanted to try the Rive Gauche this time. Also we sought a hotel with Seine views and came across HQV. Thanks to TA, I felt we knew exactly what we were getting. And we liked it even better. It is only 30-some rooms, and...

Dear Mr and Mrs Tournesol, Thank you very much for your nice comments. It is always a real pleasure to see our guests enjoying the hotel and their stay. Just for your information we do have a room service for breakfast in the room and also for dinners. Maybe next time you could experience it. And should you need anything...

We stayed four nights on a family vacation. Great view over the river from L3. Room clean and adequately appointed. Bed was good. Walking distance to the Louvre and plenty of good restaurants (head right out of hotel!). Staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was nice, esp the fresh orange juice. I'd go again.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
