The rue Casimir Delavigne is a one-way street so it's relatively quiet. Just opposite the hotel are book publishers' offices, so there is not a lot of activity at night. You'll sleep well here. The rooms are very clean but be prepared: they are quite small, even by Parisian standards. We stay here though because it is a few minutes...

We stayed at Hotel Delavigne for one night and it was ideal for what we wanted- quick easy check in with friendly reception staff, a clean warm room (albeit a little small), good nights sleep and a decent sized bathroom. Room actually seemed more modern than the pictures suggest. We didn't have breakfast here as there's so many cute restaurants/cafes...

I read all the reviews before choosing this property. It is a lovely, three star, boutique hotel. I had needs and they were all handled nicely. Front office staff was really helpful. I had a second floor corner room. Price point rooms are usually small, this was larger than expected and very well appointed. While it is an old building...

The hotel is over rated and over priced. Hotel is centrally located.10 min walk to Notre de museum. 5 mins to metro station. Rooms are small. Reception people were helpful and good. Over all stay was okay..

Our room was a bit tight but we have been in smaller rooms in Europe. Other than that everything about our experience with the Hotel Delavigne was excellent. We loved that it is on a quiet street but so close to all the great sites and restaurants in Saint Germaine. The front desk staff was very professional and helpful. We...

For lodging during our stay in Paris, our neighbors recommended the hotel. They stayed at the hotel Delavigne on the Rue Casimir for more than a week just after they sold their apartment in Paris in 2015. The hotel is a relatively inexpensive choice for a budget minded traveler. With their help, we made reservations and never regretted it. The...

We stayed at the Hotel Delavigne for two days . The location is brilliant - both for the RER from and to CdG Airport, Odeon and St Michel metro and for site seeing. The staff were charming, spoke fluent English. Although we did our best efforts at French, they pretended not to notice our failings! Our room on the first...

This was my first stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean spacious and well-appointed. There are plenty of places to eat/drink within a short walk. Metro is close too. There is 24 hour reception although the door is closed at midnight . Bathroom is clean and spacious. Elevator operates.

A good value hotel that delivers what it offers – between Odeon and Luxembourg (RER) stations. Clean rooms, pleasant staff, excellent location right in the middle of Luxembourg and the Latin Quarter/Saint Germain. We were also able to check in early, which was great. You won’t get a better value hotel in this area of Paris.

Great location. Nice hotel. Helpful staff. The rooms are, however, small. Not that, during your stay, you have to return the key of your room to the front desk when you leave. When you return to the hotel you have to ask again for the Key of your room!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
