My wife and I stayed her over an August weekend. The hotel is ideally situated in St Germain with the metro, shops, restaurants and the Seine all within a few minutes walk. Our room was a luxury room with large windows that opened and overlooked the Boulevard St. Germain. We could see the church, the metro and Les Deux Magots from our room. I took my teenage daughter on vacation with me and we had an amazing stay. The staff were friendly and efficient and you cannot beat this location in the heart of Saint Germain. The hotel is modern and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We were n room #62 and we so happy to find that there was a...

I am very late in writing this as we stayed at the Madison in May for 3 nights. This was our 4th time staying here. Once again, we found everything so very wonderful. The view from our St Germain Blvd room, the thoughtfully prepared breakfast and service at breakfast, the cleanliness of the roooms, etc, etc... I will say that...

We have returned to the Madison whenever possible for over a decade because of its location, its welcoming staff, especially the two Christians, and the comfort and quiet of its rooms. Its location which is equidistant to Metro lines 4 and 10 is also a real plus. The basic rooms are small of course as one expects in Paris, but...

Great location within easy walking distance of metro, sites and restaurants. Our room was in the back of the hotel, off the "courtyard", which was basically a view of the air conditioning units. It didn't matter, though, because the room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Can't wait to return!

Nice clean hotel. Great location however for the price it should at least include breakfast. Staff was generally knowledgable about the area which was a help. Checking in was a little disappointing as all our rooms were not available at check in time. Overall I would recommend this hotel

I would stay here again, no question. The location was great. Very very close to 2 Metro locations. Very clean and up to date. Room was quiet, even facing Blvd Saint Germain. All the staff is very professional, and helpful. Close to many cafes and restaurants. They gave some good recommendations on places to eat.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Madison Hotel, in the Latin Quarter of Saint Germain-des-Prés, is a boutique hotel in a chic, contemporary style. This delightful hotel with its 50 rooms and suites is located on the Left Bank opposite the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and a mere stone's throw from the Seine, the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris. The hotel rubs shoulders on the Boulevard Saint Germain with the Café de Flore and the Café de 2 Magots, at the heart of a quarter famed for its cafés, art galleries, museums, antique dealers and designer fashion boutiques. The Madison Hotel is also firmly at the heart of literary Paris... Albert Camus spent some time at the hotel in the spring of 1940, and it was here that he completed his existentialist novel "L'Etranger" (The Outsider).
