Unfortunately.. this review will be consistent with what many other reviewers have said. My room also smelled like smoke and the walls of the washroom absolutely looked unappealing. The furniture (ie., tables) had stains on it. The only thing that was alright was the bedding which looked clean. However this is quite discrepant from the picture they have on display.... More

I have reviewed this hotel before (2013) and had a decent experience, so we decided to stay again (2015). NEVER AGAIN. We were pleased upon arrival on our 2nd stay to find the bathrooms (at least the one in our room) had been beautifully renovated since our last visit, and a small refrigerator had been added to the room. The... More

This hotel is situated in one of the best location in Paris, line 9 ( metro ) is only round the corner. La Fayette and Printemps are only minutes away, with Opera down the road. Restaurant, pubs and shops surround the vicinity. At the Aston Hotel we were treated very well and although our room was on the smaller side... More

Avoid this hotel at all costs. I paid a reservation fee of €100 but almost three weeks later it still hasn't been returned to me. At first the hotel blamed my bank, but on further inspection it seems that they are refusing to refund me. I don't understand this! Please return my money and respond to my emails!

Stayed at the Aston Hotel for 3 nights. Rooms are tiny but clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Good location and in 20 mins walking distance to Louvre and close to Gare du Nord railway station. Plenty of eateries around the hotel district. Word of warning, when asking the hotel to book a taxi, a booking fee of between €9-12... More

This hotel is not great. Best to start witht he downsides: The reception area is tiny, the lift will fit one person and a suitcase, the rooms are ridiculously small. The toilet room is ludicrously small. Like you nearly have to shower one side of your and then get out turn around and shower the other side. The shower is... More

A/C cranked! Guest service (a really busy multitasker behind the desk) was outstanding for a small hotel. Near train station and 25 minute walk to champs elly'. Nice cold breakfast. Pricing was fair at 160 euros. Room bedding was dirty and a big negative.

it does not deserve 3 stars, when you arrive in the lounge, it smells litteraly crap, so as in the lift and stairs (don't know if it was linked to unhappy clients), rooms are tiny & dirty, and you are eating in a basement....

Excellent location, this hotel is ideally in an extremely quiet street and so close to the restaurants, shops and visits. Room is quite small, comfort is just enough, but hotel is clean and the bed is excellent quality. Recommended for a city trip !

Misleading photos, very small room, bathroom looking more like a closet, elevator could barely fit one person and a suitcase, walls full of mold, definitely not a 3 star hotel, too expensive for what you get, we had to move to another hotel

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
