I stayed here on the 28/29th Sept 3013. When we arrived at 3 pm our room was not ready! We were offered a complimentary drink and kept waiting for another 30 minutes - the idea was to see Paris not drink a beer in a dark and dreary bar. When we were told our room was ready we were also...

Dear nonamedee, I would like to thank you for contributing your review on Tripadvisor and at the same time express my chagrin at what appeared to be a frustrating experience for you. It's very central so great for seeing the city. The room was clean and relatively spacious, with a huge kind size bed. It wasn't luxurious as such but the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good although I wouldn't recommend non-French food from the room service menu.

I stayed here in July and booked multiple rooms for business associates. The stay was for 9 days. The positive: the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast each morning was good as well. The location was very nice. The bad: myself and my other associates had to move rooms after the first few days for reasons related to...

In a lovely old Paris building and very handy for restraunts and metro (Richeliue) but service is decidedly poor and unresponsive, room was quiet but decoration was tired as are the common areas-especially the bar where they seriously need to reupholster some of the sofas. Main issue however was the bathroom shower. On the first day it was either boiling...

I hate being negative when the hotel was kind enough to provide a special rate and upgrade our room. We are staying here right now. We were very kindly given the best type of suite in the building. The room is classically beautiful and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is excellently placed for access to the...

The first feeling is of grand and royal... the location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the Galeries Lafayatte. The rooms are spacious and grand. The only issue is of internet availability, wifi isn't very good. The staff was very cooperative and helpful. I had a good time there...

A classic Parisian Hotel. Rooms are grand and although they show some signs of wear and tear they are large for Central Paris. The service is great and the doorman helpful. Ate in the restaurant which was not busy but the service and food were excellent.

Friendly and welcoming hotel. I was upgraded to a Club room which was nice and the room which was on the 6th floor had a balcony which was even nicer. It is a shame that the TV/film selection was not that great ( I gather that paytv has been taken away..why, when it is such a good source of revenue...

Great location, very close to the Galeries Lafayatte. Eventhough they gave an upgrade to the suite, wifi signals were hard to get due to its location. Breakfast was just ok. Old styled hotel. Hotel staff was cooperative, eventhough they made a mistake with my credit card bill. Luckily I noticed it soon and they reversed it. Overall it was a...

Great location. Staff nice. Great breakfast. Bed was nicely firm, and very comfortable! The Lobby had a bad smell 24/7. We had problems with the room. Internet would not always work. TV went out daily and maintenance needed to fix it. Shower gripping handle was pulled from wall, making it difficult stepping up and into shower. Trash can foot mechanism...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
