This is a charming hotel with friendly service in the beautiful arrondisement of Montmartre. It is well worth the extra euros for the rooms with the view over Paris. We enjoyed our three days there and would return to the same hotel if we are lucky enough to visit Paris again.

In 2002 I stayed at a hotel near Montparnasse and had such easy access to the Metro that it didn't occur to me that the Abbesses (or Pigalle, almost as close) stop would require extra transfers to get to major sights in Paris. The hill from the metro stop is pretty steep if you are not expecting it and the...

I've stayed here 3 times so far and the location alone would make me go back. The rooms are somewhat small and a bit worn down, but hey, you're smack in the middle of the most beautiful part of Paris, the staff is friendly and in general good at English, the breakfast is good enough and you have a NICE...

We posted a long review on this hotel in December, and just wanted to post an update after our recent stay. We made a last minute booking and paid about £90 per night including breakfast for their standard rooms. When we arrived the receptionist offered to upgrade us to a superior room – initially we said no, we were not...

You would be staying at your own risk and regretting it at this dump. They stole jewelry out of room. We should have called the Police. The bathrooms are a joke. Severely cramped rooms. You would be foolish to stay here!

The hotel is in a great location, its very close to Abbesses Metro station which makes travelling around Paris a breeze. The rooms are clean and the customer service is friendly. The only downfall is thin walls and heavy slamming doors that bang and rattle the entire wall. I don't know if it was my room (311) which is near...

Whilst fairly plain and simple in all respects, this hotel was friendly and quiet and located in the centre of Montmartre with local shops, bars and so on a minute or two away. We were given a room with an extensive view over Paris.

We booked this hotel one day before we arrived in Paris in the second week of March this year. After a lot of frantic searching online, we settled with this one and that turned out to be a really good decision in the end. I will try to keep it as short and simple: Positives: 1. Excellent and very helpful...

Great location in montmartre, lovely cobbled square in front, with a restaurant outside with views over paris when you sit outside (perfect for an arrival drink). Hotel is small but it is 2 star. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast area is very small but simply ask for more coffee, croissants, juice, etc., and they bring them straight out. Hotel...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
