I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was perfect, close to the Odeon Metro stop with many restaurants and great shopping near by along Rue Bonaparte and Rue St. Germain de Pres. The hotel staff was very helpful. They did offer breakfast, but I did not eat at the hotel. There is a very welcoming seating area with an...

I've stayed at several 3 stars in St. Germain, and this is the best, so far.... The three best things? 1) the staff is extremely friendly, even to Americans :) 2) the shower. It's huge and it works. 3) the honor bar - most hotel in Paris don't have any kind of drinks or snacks and they have plenty... Not...

This hotel has the feel of a private club -- most of the lobby is lounge seating, a big hearth fireplace, snack/bar area, and seating for breakfast. Reception was very helpful on check-in -- we were several hours early and they showed us to our room. This is a 16th century building which is a former private home (and then...

This is a wonderful quaint boutique hotel. It is well located with many restaurants nearby. The metro stop: "Odeon" is a two minute walk and there is a Starbucks closeby if the need should strike! The main downside to this hotel is the front desk staff. During the course of the 4 nights I spent at the hotel I interacted...

I highly recommend this hotel, the rooms are very charming and I couldn't have asked for a better location, so close to many restaurants, boutiques and bars. I'm definitely becoming a regular! The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is a botique hotel and as such, please understand that it is somewhat different than a chain hotel. The rooms were on the small side but it is Europe so the rooms will never be the size we are accustomed to in the States. They are perfectly adequate and very, very comfortable as are the bathrooms. The bed...

Just got back from a stay at this hotel. It is a wonderful hotel and quite well-located in the heart of St. Germain. It also is a five minute walk from the Odeon metro. I thought it was a perfect location for exploring and also getting to other parts of the city. There was great selection for restaurants and a...

Stayed here for four nights at end of Sept 2012. The staff is attentive and professional and all speak English for those of us not fluent in French. The lobby is cozy and the honesty bar is open at all hours. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel. We had Room 8 which was decent size for two although...

I recently booked a three night stay for April 2013 and emailed the hotel with several questions about different rates, rooms , shuttles etc etc. Although our booking is for the future I thought it was important to write a comment at this time. How we are treated in the beginning is important. First impressions count !! I received a...

We stayed here in September 14-16th. We requested early arrival, but when we arrived, our room was not ready, so we went "full steam ahead" and took on a few of the sights in Paris. Upon arrival after running around the city for hours, our room was finally ready! We stayed in a Jr. Suite category and it wasn't super...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
