I stayed here for a couple of nights with my fiance in Nov. 2012. We loved this hotel - the overall ambiance, the location and the staff. There was so much to see in walking distance from the hotel and there was also a metro station around the corner. We had great breakfasts at nearby locations, enjoyed walking around the...

We spent New Years Eve at Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain. Saint Germain is my favorite area of Paris and this hotel is right near everything. Tons of cafes, bars, markets, etc. nearby, yet not so close that it is too loud. The rooms are the average size for Paris. They have a cute cocktail lounge area as well where we had...

Stayed here back in September 2012. The hotel is on the very chic rue saint suplice. Lots of great dining and shopping in the area. The famous comptoir du relais and Marco polo restaurants are less than a minutes’ walk. So is the Odeon Metro Station. You are also very close to Notre Dame and latin quarter. The hotel was...

I admit that Saint Germain is by far my favorite district to stay in. It's got an incredible location - 2 minutes to Luxembourg gardens, St. Suplice, great restaurants, charming markets and very close to the metro For Paris the rooms are quite reasonably sized (still, think small) especially the triple room which we had on our last stay with...

Had a standard room for two for a weekend trip. Hotel was calm and peaceful. Conveniently located from the metro. Room was quite small and got stuffy in the night so had to keep the window open. though it wasn't much of a problem in the summer days. Lift is just big enough for one person + bag . Can...

Saint-Germain-des-Prés is my favorite part of Paris and location of Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain is just prefect. Hotel underwent renovation in 2012; rooms are well appointed, although rather small (we stayed in executive room). Almost everything was excellent except for our room soundproofing. Waking up in the middle of the night when your next-door neighbors close the door wasn’t particularly positive...

This was my fourth time, and unless they change something, I see no reason to stay anywhere else. I like the fact that they know me, the staff are the same faces, so it's very personalized and what's most important, it's extremely central to everything I want to do. Metro is around the corner, most is in walking distance, and...

We have just enjoyed a perfect weekend at this hotel, our third visit in just over three years. On arrival, we were immediately upgraded to a junior suite, replete with steam room. The room was stylish, comfortable and immaculately clean. My wife and I could not disagree more with the previous writer who found the front desk staff 'curt, cold...

This is my second time staying at the Odeon St. Germain. First, was in April 2012 I travelled with a dozen of my girlfriends and stayed here for the first time. We loved the hotel! They have a couple of wonderful seating areas off the lobby and a non-hosted honor bar. We'd meet in the lobby sign-out a bottle of...

I would highly recommend this hotel. The location was perfect, close to the Odeon Metro stop with many restaurants and great shopping near by along Rue Bonaparte and Rue St. Germain de Pres. The hotel staff was very helpful. They did offer breakfast, but I did not eat at the hotel. There is a very welcoming seating area with an...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
