This hotel Royal Opera Mansart is located one block away from Moulin Rouge! About 15 minutes walking from Montmarte district (which is not as bad as everyone thinks). About 5 minutes away from Blanche Metro Station which could take you into any location in the city. And about 15 minutes walking to Lafayette and Opera Center. So the location is...

The price of your stay in this hotel might sound affordable but that's the only good thing about it. Otherwise, the rooms are old, the location is not attractive at all and not really close to the Opera. I don't know why they named it Opera which is kind of 15 minutes far by walking. In fact, this is Place...

For a hotel in the centre of Paris it is very reasonably priced. This is an older hotel there is no elevator and all rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor (or 1st and 2nd depending from where i the world you are). Nice helpful reception. My room was clean, extra blankets etc were in the cubbord (not that...

When we arrived they told us there was no hot water and send us to the hotal Blanche down the road. We refused to stay in the Blanche when we saw the condition of this room (there was a mouse trap under the bed). We returned to the Royal Hotel Mansart and told the receptionist that we would like to...

We paid for 3 nights accomodation through www.galahotels.com up front forgetting that we lose a day when travelling from Australia to Paris. So we arrived on the second day of our booking. We had already paid for 3 nights in advance for a 3 bed room. They had double dipped and sold our room for the first night that we...

The room was good and the bathroom was quite big. The furnitures are minimalistic. The staff was helpful an pleasant. We had a double room for 60 Euros which is quite alright for Paris. The main drawback would be the noise during the night. Some young people speaking laud and laughing in the outside.

The location of the hotel was great - despite its reputation, the area is buzzy and convienient for the rest of paris, with plenty of shops and restautants. However, the hotel is pretty poor. The lift only goes from the first floor, not the ground floor, and stops mid floors, opening onto the spiral staircase - I didn't feel safe....

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
