The first thing I noticed when we walked into this hotel was that the professional photos really used the mirrors to make the place seem bigger. This didn't bother us too much though as we didn't plan on availing of the breakfast here. We then met with a receptionist who didn't seem to be having the best of days (to...

A very charming and small hotel in Paris. Very helpful staff. Clean and tidy rooms. Convenient location from which to explore the city and to get to cdg airport. Would recommend to people looking to not break their budget but stay somewhere quiet and lovely in Pairs. Overall, great place!

Very nicely located, low price, ok service. The room was cute, clean, warm and cozy. The receptionist were very friendly except the last one we met before leaving. She was grumpy and unfriendly. I recommend for friends and couples, not for families with kids.

The hotel is well located but expansive. The rooms are too small. Terrible service, one of the girls in the reception screamed with me when I asked her to borrow some dishes and knifes, and she gave me paper dishes to have my dinner. I really don't recommend this place.

This hotel is nicely situated in the centre of Paris. Many sightseeing attractions at walking distance, and the subway takes you to all other attractions. Louvre and Opera are just around the corner. Though hidden between the other buildings, this hotel offers good and up to standard rooms at a fair price. Attention to detail, personally I found the lobby...

Stayed in twins for three room, it's slightly larger then normal twins, but all extra space is occupied with sofa-chair. Nevertheless the romm's size is ok for Paris, really. I heard that that not all rooms are renovated, but we were lucky. The bathroom is new and modern (and there was actually a bath). Decoration of the room is very...

I didn't even get an opportunity to book a room in this DUMP. I am a Parisian living in NYC planning a trip for Christmas. I called the hotel to get some quick information and the guy on the other end of the phone, which i presume is the front desk, proceeded to interrupt me and tell me that the...

The cliche is all hotel rooms in Europe are small, and ours was not exception. The hotel is conveniently located near the Louvre Museum, Opera House, and good restaurants. It is also nestled in what I would call their Asia Town/Japan Town; which if you like Japanese dining, is quite convenient. The service was friendly and good. The facility is...

Small, clean and quiet, good location near Opera. Breakfast was a little poor, but Boulanger next to the hotel was good. Room was small, but clean and cosy. Excellent for tourists whose goal is to see Paris instead of sleeping in hotel.

I should start this review by saying that I was actually booked into the Hotel Ascot Opera but when I arrived (at around 6pm) my room was not ready (low point). Eventually they decided it would be quicker if I took a room in the Ile De France and moved me there. The check-in (after the delay) was quite efficient....

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

“If you want to save money, walking is okay, but be in good shape. From this hotel, the Eiffel tower is a 45 minute to 1 hour walk, but wonderful sites along the way. Or, take a bus or a moto-taxi. Moto-taxi is a lot of fun; about 30 Euro.”
