I stayed in the last week of November for 4 nights, and it was an amazing stay; unexpected for similar budget hotels. The interiors of the hotel are very modern and colorful, giving it the happy place effect. The rooms are ok in space and very clean. The bathrooms are spacious and has all the amenities. The hotel is super...

We stayed here having previously visited Paris 2 years ago and love the opera district. We had stayed in the astotel Joyce which is just around the corner. There was a difference. The George is nice, upon check In the reception staff were friendly but not very interactive. They crossed checked my visa card etc.. etc. and handed us an...

This hotel far surpassed our expectations and will certainly stay here again in the future. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable hotel close to many attractions in the centre of Paris. The service truly is second to none and has some lovely touches, like the free mini-bar in your room, along with the complimentary snack...

Stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel was in an ideal location for visiting many attractions, some within walking distance. The staff were extremely helpful and Zinnadan on reception could not do enough to assist. The hotel is querky and lots of choice at breakfast and 'open bar' with free refreshments is a very nice touch. Could not...

Whenever you book a budget hotel, you expect the worst. This hotel was the exception to the rule. Whilst the rooms are quite small, they are well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The mini bar in each room is stocked with soft drinks which are free. Each day between 13.00 until 02.00 the following morning there is a free bar in the...

We had a superb experience at Hotel George. The front of house staff were really helpful and cheery. The rooms were basic but very clean and tidy (with a complimentary mini-bar with some bits and bobs in. The communal areas were light and airy and very colourful. The 'free-bar' was a life saver, with free tea and coffee or cold...

Just had 2 lovely nights at this hotel. The staff were helpful and very polite and the hotel itself was small, bright, quite funky and immaculately clean. It was also really convenient for attractions on the Seine (20 mins walk to The Louvre), the Moulin Rouge (10-15 mins walk) and Sacré Coeur (15 mins). If you go to the latter...

Lovely little lobby with polite reception staff. Breakfast room nicely decorated in a pop art sort of design. Breakfast itself is very good but kitchen very noisy (staff talking out loud, clattering the utensils etc.). Location is surprisingly convenient to all directions with a lot of nice places around to eat. The biggest issue is with the size of the...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
