Very friendly owner to welcome you. Good quality room and good range at breakfast. Great location, walking distance to everywhere in the town centre, but not so central as to be noisy at night. Fully recommended.

We stayed at the Hotel Castex for 6 nights and had a very quiet and pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a very nice area near the Place des Vosges (which has got to be the loveliest spot in Paris) and the Marais. Fabulous restaurants are nearby and so is the Seine. It is just the perfect place for...

Looked lovely on the internet but the best room is the breakfast room - great breakfast offered. My room quite small although I had a big bed with a good mattress. No wifi in room (so sporadic that non-existent). Front desk chap was great. Room - needs a review and a deep-clean or re-paint. Bathroom - filter scary, tiles amiss.

Very friendly and helpful staff who speak a number of languages. Great location close to metro. Breakfast was very nice and not a bad price given the city centre location. Luggage room available for the period between checkout and leaving Paris which was so helpful for last minute sightseeing. We had two rooms (triple and twin). It's a shame they...

Perfect for exploring Paris especially if you are in want to discover a lot of french brands. Close to Seine, Le Marais, Picasso Museum and art galleries, lovely boutiques around and niche perfumery, honey shops, cheese shops, everything you want to eat, the Bastille metro station is very very close. A bottle of wine is expecting you in the room,...

When Hotel Speria did not have a room for us, even though we had booked in June, they make a reservation for us at Hotel Castex. Very glad they did, as we enjoyed our stay. Eskender, at reception, was very kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the bed linens and towels good, and the location great. We would stay...

I would definitely recommend staying at the Castex! The location in Le Marais is ideal. It is close to lots of cafes, the Seine, and the Metro, but is on a little side street and protected from the noise of the city. We were in room 1, which is on an interior courtyard and were able to sleep with the...

I stayed at Castex Hotel in end of August'16. The location is good, metro is nearby and the area has so many restaurants and grocery shops. The room size was very small. It is so small that if one wants to do some body weight workouts there is no space. The options in breakfast were also limited But the Staff...

The hotel is situated very near to Bastile Metro and a short walk from Saint Paul at the marais. it is easy to find and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are very dated and a bit dusty, the bathroom however was remodelled, large and clean. Good value for money for a central location

We really enjoyed the location of this quaint hotel. Easy to walk to restaurants, metro, even a small grocery store. Our room, while small, was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My only advise: when arriving via the Bastille metro stop, be sure to use exit 6. At the top of the exit, go straight and Rue...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
