The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Metro and is located in the Marais district with lots of shopping, restaurants, and sights. The Seine River is also a short walk away which provides great views and many memories. The Castex hotel provides great value with a clean room, the charm of Paris, with a superb location.

Lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and happy to help but also leave you to it. Room was fairly basic but nice and clean and they provided a free bottle of wine :) Bed was really comfy and the street is quiet so you don't hear any noise. Location great as right by Bastille tube and lovely area. This is...

A comfortable room in a basic 3 star hotel. A short walk to many attractions. Whilst in the Marais district it is closer to the Bastille area. Helpful staff with airport transfers, wifi, printing boarding passes etc.

* Overall * Charming hotel with a helpful staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Not luxurious by any means, but functional. Bathroom fixtures (showers, fans) could use an upgrade. * The Good * Terrific staff - Genuinely tried to make my stay in Paris memorable. Willing to provide directions, look things up, give recommendations, and everything and anything in between....

A bit disappointed, the room is not well cleaned, there's only 1 socket for charging battery and my most concern is once i got into my room, the internet signal is cut automatically (the hotel has very bad internet connection). The price is too expensive compare to the room and what hotel offer. Location is good, a lot of restaurants,...

These were the most comfortable beds we had in France so far. Make sure you get a room away from the street. Ours was a bit noisy at night and first thing in the morning. Breakfast was okay. You'd be better off going down the street to a bakery. The rooms have refrigerators so get your own snacks and such...

If you are looking for a reasonable, clean, comfortable hotel in a great location then the Castex Hotel is for you! The hotel is 2 short blocks from the hop on- hop off bus stop, close to the Metro and in a safe area. The front desk is manned 24/7 and the security in the hotel is beyond great.

My husband and I stayed at the Castex for seven nights during our honeymoon in Paris. The hotel is conveniently located in the popular Marais neighborhood, and it is very close to the Bastille Metro stop. Also, the hotel is right across the street from a post office, in case you need to ship items home or get stamps for...

I always hesitate to write a review of this hotel for fear too many people will discover it and decrease room availability. This was my 6th visit to the Castex Hotel and as always, it was absolutely wonderful. First and foremost, Eskender, our gracious host, is always most helpful and is there to make sure our stay is everything we...

Room very very small but clean, with all things as described, including an easy to use safe box. On this recent visit the room had a kettle and coffee and tea provided (no milk), so I had taken my travel kettle for nothing! An improvement on previous visits. The fact that this hotel is only 2/3 minutes walk from the...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
