Hotel du 7e Art is a small, informal hotel in the very heart of Paris. The atmosphere and staff is nice and cool indeed. But at all not so that you "feel ancient at 40". There is no classic luxury at this hotel, but for someone (like us) who find perfect location, "the feel of a place" and wonderful prices...

French independent small hotels are not always recommendable - but this one, located in wonderful Marais, a few steps away from metro-line no. 1, definitely is. You might not absolutely enjoy the bric-à-brac decoration, but the place is quiet and clean. Our (big) room was in very good shape with excellent beds and mattresses, the bathroom functional, clean, new and...

Look, it isn't 5 star and it doesn't try to be. This place is a basic, French, hotel - don't expect American size or furniture. The hotel is quiet and clean and the rates are some of the best in Paris. This is a couple block walk from the Saint Paul metro station and if you want you can walk...

Stayed for just one night. Although with quite simple accomodations, this hotel has some decorative stuff that give some atmosphere of a thematic hotel. Overall, it seemed overprized to me, even considering its great location.

I have just returned from Paris. I live in Las Vegas where I was part of the hotel casino business for many, many years. In the 60’s I was at the famous Sands Hotel with Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy and all the great entertainers we had. I visit Paris almost every year. I first found out about this place from...

1. Very good location - 5-minutes' walk to the subway station St Paul and 10-minutes' walk to the station Bastille. Nera the hotel there are mahy shop and cafes, there is one supermaket. You can walk to Notre Dame de Paris, it takes about 15-20 minutes through the historical centre of Paris. 2. Very nice and friendly staff. They're always...

We stayed for a long weekend and wanted to be in the city centre on the North side of the river. This hotel was excellent value for our budget. The room was small and the facilities are basic, but a comfortable bed and decent bathroom and shower were all we wanted. The service from the moment we arrived at this...

Friendly, and ideally located in the south end of the Marais, but half way between Gare du Nord and Lyon. Excellent restaurants and interesting stores all nearby. We'll use it again when passing through (to Nice. Much nicer than flying)

I was lucky to find Hotel du 7e Art. I was given the name by another hotel that was booked. It is a small, quaint hotel in the heart of Le Marais. Very handy to everything and within walking distance to some of the great sites and some lovely restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If...

i stayed here for the second time recently and was appalled when they charged me €0,50 to print out my boarding pass - i realize paper and printer cartridges cost money, but so does toilet paper and tap water... it's the first time in my life that a hotel has ever done that - i realize that it's a trivial...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
