I knew it was a budget hotel, without amenities, very basic, funky rooms according to reviews and the photos. I was alone, so I got a single bed room. I don't know if it was just this room, or all singles, but this room was unlike the brightly coloured rooms in photos, or even the double rooms I peeked at...

Dear Bonnie, we thank you very much for your compliments about our hotel and we are very sorry that you did not like your room too much. All our rooms are different, with different colors and style. Of course you can have single rooms facing the garden if you make reservation in advance enough. Please note that you can visit...

My wife and I stayed her in February 2013. Wonderful, atmospheric hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked the noise from the streets below, made our stay even more interesting. If we ever come to Paris again we would stay there

Our room overlooked rue des Dames and on a Saturday night the bars on the street are noisy but once you accept that it is fine. It was actually fun to sit and watch people down on the street from the 2nd story window. Our room had a private bathroom - also very cramped but the price was very good...

Dear mctrvl, We are happy that you enjoyed your stay in our hotel and the location. In fact we are very closed to Montmartre, Pigalle, Gare du Nord and the subway Place de Clichy is very closed. You can find a lot of things to do and visit in the area, with a lot of bars, restaurants, cinémas, night-clubs and...

Having looked at some of the reviews, it’s clear some expectations are not set. This hotel is in a lively area of Paris with lots of bars and restaurants on the same street. The hotel also shares space with a restaurant that has a great courtyard for dining. So, if you’re on a business trip, or need early nights this...

Dear Matt, we thank you very much for your very friendly comments on our hotel. Concerning the quietness, please note that there is much less noise in winter, when the terraces outside are close. If you choose a room facing the garden, especially in the "pavillon", you will hear only the songs of the birds.

Arriving at Hotel Eldorado made me really feel like I was in Paris. A Parisian cat greeted us as we stepped into the brightly coloured lobby, and after we checked in we climbed a winding wooden staircase, until we came to our room. The room was beautiful; red bedspread, embroidered pillows, walls lined with colourful Bohemian paintings and curtains sewn...

Eldorado is a relatively inexpensive hotel. Our room was quite dark, the beds were soft but clean, and the shower was quite ineffectual. Some of the staff were very helpful, some less so. The breakfast was great, as were the adjacent bars. The black cat is wonderful.

Great location, close to the metro and walking distance to alot of sights! Our room was at the front, not too noisy, pretty basic but did the job, the bed was clean but the floors could definitely have done with a sweep!

I would have given this hotel a two-star review anyway, because the rooms look nothing like the pictures (really, they are pretty dire), it's so noisy you won't be able to sleep (both from inside the hotel and the courtyard and street outside), and the back-breakingly uncomfortable beds. Others have mentioned all these things. The biggest issue is that I...

Dear Flyghtyfish, I am terribly sorry for the trouble you had in our hotel and I really apologize for this. You have to know that this problem of bedbugs can occur in all hotel, included luxury hotels. As you can see on wikipedia, the bedbugs were mostly eradicated in the developed world, but have increased in prevalence since 1995, likely...

This hotel was reserved for me by a conference organiser who invited me to talk at their event, so a business trip. This hotel was not at all adapted, as it is very noisy. From hearing others suffer from similar problems, most rooms seem to have noise problems, unless they are on the very upper floors (3rd or 4th). The...

Dear Jennyelle, I am really sorry that you were disturbed by noise during our stay in our hotel. We have a lot of business travellers coming for the parisian Salons and they are generally satisfied, as they come back every year. But it is true that there can have some noise in the interior garden as during summer, due to...
