This place was horrible. Elevator kept breaking down. Walls were paper think. The doors locked so loud it woke you up. Don't even want to describe what was supposed to pass for a shower. The only things to recommend it are the location and price. It should have a star removed.

The location and the price are why you would want to stay at this hotel. If you are an adventurous traveler and like small places then this is for you. The room and bed were simple but functional. The bathroom and shower(in the room) was small so larger people might not feel comfortable. I chose the shared toilet floor and...

I agree with most of the reviews, in essence: the Hotel Flor Rivoli isn't luxurious, and the rooms and bathrooms are small. However, it is clean and the bed comfortable, and always hot water. You are right in the historic centre of Paris, and you can walk to most of the various attractions. It is close to Les Halles and...

A "Poor" rating might be a little harsh, but it's not an "Average" either. It served it's purpose as the final rest stop after an all day train ride from Italy and the need to get up early to fly home the next morning. It's just a basic little place on a side street off Rue de Rivoli. The elevator...

I agree with most of the reviews below. What we're all saying, in essence, is this: the Hotel Flor Rivoli isn't luxurious, and the rooms are small (in fact, everything in the place is small: the rooms, the lobby, even the elevator). But the staff are outstanding hosts, the price is very good for travelers on a budget, and the...

Just a wonderful location for sightseeing. Louvre museum, George Pompidou, Notre Dame all in walking distance. The hotel has all right standard rooms. Not big but have seen a lot smaller in Paris. Bathroom is dated. Not for long persons! Could have been a bit cleaner. Wifi was good. Metro is very close (especially line 1). Supermarket is next door,...

My fifth visit and I plan another visit this year. Flor Rivoli is not George V - it's a small family run hotel just a two minute walk from Chatelet, Ile de Cite, the Louvre, les Halles, need I go on? Herve and Martine are wonderful owners/hosts. The rooms are neat and clean, staff is small but so helpful. I...

Visited over Christmas break with my 18 year old daughter and her two friends. The college girls were on a tight budget and this hotel was just perfect. The location was fabulous - walking distance to Louvre and Notre Dame - with shopping and lots of restaurants. Metro right across the street and supermarket next door. Rooms were small and...

A comfortable basic hotel that is value for money. Small-ish but not tiny. Dated furnishings/decor but clean. Fantastic location. Near the metro, shopping and major attractions. There is a fully equipped supermarket beside the hotel that you can get affordable breakfast (fresh bread, cheese and freshly squeeze orange juice) or last minute dinner (sushi, salad and sandwiches).

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
