My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over New Years and it was wonderful! The room was a good size and the location was excellent. The hotel was less than a block from the Chatelet metro stop, and it was very easy to get anywhere in the city. It was also about 3 blocks from Notre...

There are only positives! The hotel was spectacular. The service was wonderful and the staff were very nice, attentive and welcoming. Wake-up calls were never missed, taxis were always summoned instantly and help with directions was always available. There was also an elevator. The location was very central and convinient, safe and perfect for tourists looking to explore the city....

Stayed for a couple of nights during a hot July. Location is very central with lots of the major tourist attractions a short walk away. The hotel itself had a musty, nasty smell throughout, especially in the lift and in the room itself. While some of the fixtures and fittings seemed new, others were shabby and the bathroom could have...

Great Hotel. No where half decent in Paris is cheap so by Paris standards good value for money. Stayed here when seeing U2 at Stade de France Perfect location. Just a couple of minutes from Chatelet Les Halles RER (follow exit to Rue Rivoli). Very easy access from airport and then to Stade de France and back. Felt very safe...

We took a last minute train from Germany and had only one day to visit Paris. We picked this hotel because of location (near most everything including metro), price, (one of the better-priced), and availability. We were pleasantly surprised that this little hotel had what a hotel should have -- and not anything more. It has the best location to...

The hotel is EXTREMELY central, just as you exit from the Les Halles station (very busy and chaotic - make sure you get the correct exit! - Sainte Opportune). Small hotel, few rooms, all thematically named, such as Opera or Bastille, the room had anything we could wish for. Comfy and cosy bed. The room was big enough space for...

I've stayed in the Hotel Residence les Halles and I had a wonderful time. The staff was great, really nice people, the hotel was very clean and had a small kitchen, so we could go to the supermarket near there and eat at anytime. The location was great, cloose to everywhere, easy to get subway and with a lot of...

We were very pleased with our stay at Residence des Halles. The room was clean, well-decorated, and we were surprised to find it had both a view and a balcony. At this price point, in a super location, this made for great value. There are only two suites per floor, and noise from any neighbours was minimal. Some street noise...

In large cities and for holidays, location is - almost - everything. Hotel Residence des Halles has this aspect down perfectly. Near to one of the biggest and best connected Metro stations (Chatelet-Les Halles), in the heart of the lively Halles district and within walking distance of most things you might want to see in Paris. In addition, the price...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
